2022: Combo Guards

The 2022 Palmetto State class has plenty of talent. Prep Girls Hoops takes a look at some Combo Guards from this talented class right here. Cooper has her list down to 7 schools. Duke, Georgia Florida State, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia Tech. Cooper enters her senior season with 2,446 points for the Lady Wolverines. Talaysia averaged 23.7 ppg, 12.6 rebounds, 8 assists, 4.6 blocks and 2.2 steals last season for East Clarendon HS (10-1). Cooper helped the Lady Wolverines win a Class 1A State Championship back in her 7th grade season. Cooper ran the past few summers with Team Curry on the Grassroots Circuit. Talaysia is so dangerous in the open court and getting the ball to the basket with her crafty handles and quickness. Anala has a great 1st step to blow by defenders and get the ball to the basket. Nelson creates havoc on the defensive end of the floor with her quick hands and activity in the passing lanes. Grant averaged 16.6 ppg, 6.6 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 3.6 steals last season for the Lady Hurricanes. Grant has scored closed to 1,500 career points. Middleton dropped 17 points in the State Championship Game. Destiny averaged 15.9 ppg and 5 rebounds on the season for the Lady Rams. <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-271290" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/04/665DCB74-A456-4E5E-8391-3870256F043E.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="124101" first="Quadaija" last="Langley"] - Blue Ridge HS </strong> Langley averaged 19.9 ppg, 4.8 assists, 4.5 steals and 4.4 rebounds for the Lady Fighting Tigers last season. Langley ran on the Grassroots Circuit this past summer with SC76ers 17U Premier. Quadaija enters her senior season with 985 career points. Zeigler a scrappy guard can really be a headache on defense with the aggressive style of how she plays. Zeigler likes to chat it up at times for the Bruinettes. Shar’dasia averaged 20.2 ppg, 6.6 steals, 5.9 assists and 5 rebounds last season. <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-297143" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/06/1FE06AD0-A6FB-4648-9EE4-551C4E8CD72B.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="171766" first="Alexis" last="Sexton"] - Lexington HS </strong> Sexton averaged 18.8 ppg, 5 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 3.1 steals for the Lady Wildcats last year. Sexton a left-handed guard feels most comfortable playing off the ball at times. Alexis has made 99 three pointers over the last two years and keep in mind a shorten Covid-19 season last year. Prep Girls Hoops first saw Kinard play as a 8th grader for the Lady Red Devils. Shia played on the Grassroots Circuit with the Palmetto 76ers Waiters this past summer.
