There was a pause in coverage for our top players at each position that are still available in the 2022 class due to the PGH WA Summer Showcase, but we are now right back on track. We will pick things up with the shooting guard position.
The shooting guard position in ’22 has some prospects for a variety of levels. First up is Division 1 offered [player_tooltip player_id="79189" first="Zahirah" last="Walton"].
5’11 SG [player_tooltip player_id="79189" first="Zahirah" last="Walton"] (Eastside Catholic HS) is a natural slasher that has a smoothness to her game that colleges really like. She can fit within a team concept with her versatility on both sides of the ball and she seems to keep getting better over time as her jumper has shown improvement as well.
5’10 SG [player_tooltip player_id="27959" first="Kiana" last="Yesiki"] (Eisenhower HS) is a strong guard with a good in between game. She can hit the midrange pull-up or drive to the basket to finish through some contact. Yesiki can rebound and push for herself and make plays. A solid prospect in 2022 class.
5’10 SG [player_tooltip player_id="245095" first="Jenai" last="Ancheta"] (Rogers HS) is a good small college prospect that can play at the next level if she so chooses. Ancheta is strong and a very hard worker that maximizes her ability. She runs the floor well and can fit into the up and down system.
5’10 SG [player_tooltip player_id="232433" first="Gabby" last="Stuart"] (Seattle Prep) is a strong and versatile wing player that can slash. She can make some plays off the bounce now as her game has developed. Stuart is another hard working kid that can be recruitable to multiple levels of college.
