PGH Ranking Class of 2022 Stockrisers- Part 1

It is time again to update the statewide player rankings from Prep Girls Hoops, and there were several 2022 players who moved has moved up. Check back throughout the month of August for rankings in each class, including the first look at the 2025 kids later this month. 2022 Stockrisers Brooklyn Thrash Brooklyn Thrash 6'0" | CG Elmwood | 2022 State OH , 6-0 Elmwood Excited to see Brooklyn (pictured right) close out her career, and she is a complete player on the court. She plays a physical style of play, able to control the paint and finish with either hand around the rim. She moves up to #12 in the latest 2022 rankings, and can challenge her opponent at both ends of the floor. She can score on anyone, able to put the ball on the floor and make a move, or hit the perimeter shot. Good rebounder, able to start the break with good court vision. Mackenzie Hurd Mackenzie Hurd 5'10" | CG Nelsonville-York | 2022 State OH , 5-11 Nelsonville York Mac can really do it all on the court. She impressed me in the past with her ability to create a shot for herself or her teammates and has tools to be a very proficient next-level guard. Good size, can hurt you inside or out, very impressive basketball IQ and vision to see a play ahead of what’s in front of her. Active hands and good on-ball defender. Moves up to #13. (feature photo above) Bri Claxon Bri Claxon 5'7" | PG South Webster | 2022 State OH , 5-3 South Webster One of the biggest hidden gems in the state of Ohio, she just controls the game and is able to run the show from the point guard spot. The energizer buddy, can stop on a dime and run a team. There is no ceiling for her. She will excel at the next level. Plays for Team Ohio, and lands at #20 in the latest update. Abby Wolterman Abby Wolterman 6'1" | SF Cincinnati Mount Notre Dame | 2022 State OH , 6-1 Cincinnati Mount Notre Dame Often gets overlooked on a powerhouse high school program, Abby (pictured left) is a next-level kid with a great work ethic and the ability to use her long and athletic frame to make things happen in the paint. She also will step out and let it fly. Excellent footwork and speed to run the floor in transition. She has good body control and is able to maneuver to the rim to finish. Moves up to #22 in the latest rankings. Sarah Ochs Sarah Ochs 5'5" | CG Dayton Carroll | 2022 State OH , 5-6 Dayton Carroll Blue collar kid who does whatever it takes for her team to be successful. Helped lead her team to back-to-back state final four appearances, excellent floor general with incredible handles and great court savvy. Keeps her head up and has great court vision, solid passer. Lockdown defender, makes things happen with active hands. Lands at #27 in the latest rankings.
