PGH Summer Showcase: Top Shooters

<span style="font-weight: 400;">Nars Martinez put on a great PGH Summer Showcase in Centralia this past weekend. Check out my top shooters at the showcase.</span> <strong>2023 [player_tooltip player_id="317689" first="Gracie" last="Turley"] | 5-9 SG | Mount Si HS (WA)</strong> Turley was impressive on Saturday. She is a good spot-up shooter that moves well without the ball. If she didn’t have a shot, she was patient on the catch and didn’t force anything. She kept defenders on their heels with aggressive rim attacks throughout the day where she finished well with both hands: had a nice same leg-same hand finish with the left on the break. <strong>2024 [player_tooltip player_id="286854" first="Ava" last="Smith"] | 5-8 SG | Camas HS (WA)</strong> Ava served as a consistent three-point threat for her squad during the showcase. In the first game, she started slow, but as the day went on she found her rhythm and shot the ball well. She also has good court vision and did a good job of getting in the paint and finding kick-outs. <strong>2023 [player_tooltip player_id="245093" first="Hannah" last="Mack"] | 5-10 SG | Jackson HS (WA)<img class=" wp-image-214890 alignleft" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2020/10/104-Hannah_Mack_2.jpg" alt="" width="279" height="186" /></strong> Mack has good lift on her shot and gets it off quickly. Every time it left her hands Saturday, it looked like it was going in. She was also very active on the glass and used her length to grab O-boards and get tap-outs to teammates. &nbsp; &nbsp; <p style="text-align: left;"><strong>2022 Kendall Pickford | 5-9 SG | Lake City HS (ID)</strong></p> Kendall had a solid showing at the event. She is a big-time shooter with a high IQ. When she wasn’t draining 3’s, she was handling the ball and initiating offense for her team. She looked comfortable being on and off the ball. <strong>2023 Ava Uusitalo | 5-8 SG | Lake Washingtin HS (WA)</strong> Ava played well for her team on Saturday. Not only was she a threat from 3 in spot-up situations, but she sprinkled in some pull-up jumpers as well. She has a solid handle and change of direction moves that she showcased in transition and the half-court. She kept her eyes up on attacks and made good passes when the defense committed. &nbsp;
