The 6’1″ Collier earned a gold medal as a member of the loaded USA women’s national team that defeated host Japan last Saturday in the final game of the competition. At 24, Collier is the youngest member of the talented USA team that won its seventh consecutive gold medal in Olympic competition.
In addition to her gold medal, Collier was a three-time state champion and McDonald’s All-American at Incarnate Word. She helped UConn win two NCAA Tournament national championships as a collegian. As a professional player, she was the Rookie of the Year in the WNBA in 2019.
Collier is also a veteran in the USA Basketball system, having won multiple gold medals in international competition. She also won gold medals for USA Basketball at the 2019 FIBA AmeriCup, 2015 FIBA U19 World Cup, 2014 Youth Olympic Games and 2014 FIBA Americas U18 Championships.
