Summer Coaches Box-Georgia’s Top Post Players

This summer, I had the opportunity to see players from all over the country. However there were a few Georgia players that stood out on the grassroots trails. These athletes showed why they are on a lot of college coaches radars. The coaches box allowed me to see the talent first hand. Here are a few of the athletes that stood out this summer. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="186274" first="Kaylynn" last="Kirklen"] </strong>I 5’10 I SF I Atlanta Celtics I Mount Paran Christian Kirklen is a rebounding machine. Has great footwork which allows her to score on the block or in the paint. Can defend all 5 positions. Brings the energy on both ends of the floor. Knows how to read the defense and kick to her open teammates. Has a nice short jump shot. Workhorse. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="195878" first="Ava" last="McGlockton"]</strong> I 6’0 I C I 2023 I Atlanta Cagers I South Forsyth McGlockton showed her ability to change the game. Her play drew double teams which allowed her teammates open shots from the perimeter. Knows how to post big on the block and score inside. A walking double double.  Great defender inside and out. Can step out and hit the baseline jump shot. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="311549" first="Bailey" last="Gilmore"]</strong> I 6’3 I PF I FBC Nightmares Teal I Bradwell Institute Gilmore stock grew toward the end of the summer. She added the mid range and 3 point shot to her bag of tricks. Nice size which helps her to finish through contact. Also showed her ability to handle the basketball while under pressure. Has the ability to play all 5 positions. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="311540" first="Aqoyas" last="Cody"]</strong> I 5’9 I PF I Team Elite Peake I Josey High School Cody is a game changer. Has the ability to score inside out and can rebound with the best of them. Soft touch around the rim and can finish with both hands. Runs rim to rim. Can score through contact. Has a nice mid range game. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="311539" first="Allejah" last="Moultry"] </strong>I 6’1I PF I 2022 I Tier 1 Blaze I Beach High School Moultry does all the little things on both ends of the floor. She runs the floor well in transition and knows how to get to a spot on the court to get the easy buckets. Excellent rebounding skills that which leads to a lot of extra shots for her teammates. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="311565" first="Brianna" last="Pelote"] </strong>I 6’1 I PF I 2024 I Fernwood I Woodville Tompkins Pelote does all the little things that may not show up on the stat sheets. High Motor. She is aggressive on the boards and knows how to finish strong through contact. Can shoot the high post jump shot. Defensive presence in the paint. Hustles to the 50/50 balls as well. &nbsp;
