Kianna Yates 5’4” Carthage: A 2023 point guard who was the best individual talent that I witnessed at the event. She is a three-level scorer who can knock down 3-pointers or create buckets off the dribble with shifty moves and slicks drives to the basket. She also delivered some nice dimes to open teammates for buckets. She had just a big an impact on the defensive end and she darted into the passing lanes for steals and even blocked shots from the guard position.
Ireland Jones 5’4” Clever: A talented 2024 point guard with good quickness and a variety of escape moves to break down defenders and get into the lane. When she got to her spot, she was able to finish well with a nice runner or a pull up jumper. She was also a very willing defender with quick hands. Above all, I really enjoyed the enthusiasm that she played with. It rubbed off on all of her teammates.
Hailey Shannon 5’9″ Cabool: A lefty 2023 forward who was one of the more impressive frontcourt players that I watched at the showcase. She had good moves in the post and she could score with both hands. She blocked out well and attacked the boards at both ends. She would also step out and make perimeter shots.
Delainey Wiley 6’2″ Kickapoo: A 2023 post player with excellent length and she used it to her advantage on the defensive end with her ability to block and alter shots. She kept the ball high very well and finished around the basket with good fundamentals. She also displayed a very nice shooting touch from 12 to 15 feet off the catch.
Josey Adams Lamar: A 2022 guard who scored on solid takes to the basket. She was a solid perimeter shooter who handled the ball and passed it well.
Beclynn Garret Neosho: A 2025 combo forward who did a nice job blending in with her teammates. When she was assertive, she attacked off the dribble well and consistently hit the baseline jumper. An impressive youngplayer.
Ashlynn Henry 5’9″ Mt. View Liberty: A 2025 post player who held her own inside playing against older players. She used her strength to establish good position in the post. She also blocked out well for rebounds.
McKenzie Hamilton 5’6” Hollister: A solid all around 2023 player who did a lot of unselfish things such as moving the ball, blocking out and making plays on defense.
