U-Mary Team Camp Standouts (Part 1)

With High School Basketball coming to a slowing point in the year as school starts to kick back up and a lot of female players switch from Basketball mode to Volleyball mode We here at Prep Girls Hoops want to provide you with one last bang for the summer covering one of the largest North Dakota team camps held at the University of Mary. So sit back, relax and enjoy some of the best of the best that North Dakota has to offer. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="99807" first="Lorelei" last="Mciver"]</strong> - Glenburn - (6’0/SF/2022) - Mciver has to be one of the best on-ball defenders in the state. She uses her great length and athleticism to disrupt the flow of opposing offenses. She gets right up in the opponent’s face and applies great ball pressure causing disruptive turnovers. Her offensive style is more like a trashman. She loves to collect the dirt aka a rebound and put the ball back in the hoop. She finishes very well around the rim and runs the court like a well-engined machine. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="99803" first="Grace" last="Kelly"]</strong> -  Shiloh Christian - (6’1/SF/2022) - Kelly is extremely long and athletic. What makes her really stand out is she can almost play any position on the court. She’s not necessarily a big or necessarily a guard, but she possesses great abilities from both worlds. She is able to play back to the basketball style of basketball using favorable footwork and can as well create her own shot on the perimeter. She has a beautiful-looking jump shot and is prepped to have a great senior year coming this Winter. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="245564" first="Ivy" last="Fox"]</strong> - Parshall - (6’0/PF/2022) - Ivy is the definition of a stretch 4 man. She can play inside and out creating for herself on the perimeter with a low rip and cross to a pull-up jump-shot. She has a great arsenal when working down low in the post and occasionally comes up the high post looking to use that quick first step in blowing by an opposition. Fox is always hungry to score the ball in an athletic stance. She plays very aggressively. Look for Fox to rise in this year’s power rankings. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="240890" first="Hannah" last="Burtman"]</strong> - Divide County - (6’0/C/2022) - Burtman has good size and a frame to match her bully style of basketball. She is Divides go to big man and showed why in setting fantastic screens while rolling to the hoop every time demanding for the ball. She has solid footwork in the post and great finishing abilities. She’s always fighting for position down low and occasionally looks to wear down her opponent with great stamina. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="99797" first="Piper" last="Harris"]</strong> - Mandan - (5’4/PG/2022) - Piper showed great character and leading attributes on the court. She controlled the pace of all 3 games and displayed great basketball awareness and IQ. She could make the tough pass in threading the needle and knew when to reset the ball or play. Harris was an absolute menace on defense standing her ground and showing great strength even when going up against longer, taller opponents.
