PGH Illinois Top250 Expo Preview: Unsigned Seniors

The Prep Girls Hoops Top250 Expo makes its return to Illinois this Saturday, and with it come dozens of talented prospects from across the state looking to showcase their skills. Here is a group of unsigned Seniors that are worth keeping an eye on at the event: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158263" first="Jayda" last="Bowen"], 5’7” Guard, Crete-Monee</strong> A playmaking Point Guard who scores the ball well at all levels, Bowen is a constant threat with the ball in her hands. She uses her strength to beat defenders off the dribble and has good decision making in the open floor. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="203015" first="Kate" last="Gross"], 5’11” Guard, Downers Grove North</strong> Gross is a talented Shooting Guard who provides great versatility with her ability to knock down shots from deep and make plays in the lane. She is a strong athlete with good length to defend multiple positions and score over defenders in the post. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="203014" first="Eleanor" last="Harris"], 6’0” Forward, Downers Grove North</strong> An athletic Forward with good length and a high motor, Harris is always in a position to make plays at both ends of the court. She moves well without the ball so her teammates can find her for easy buckets in the paint and is a great asset on the defensive end with her shot-blocking and rebounding abilities. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="201079" first="Kelly" last="Knight"], 5’4” Guard, Providence Catholic</strong> Knight is a speedy Point Guard with a well-rounded game that includes an outstanding jumper from deep with ‘in-the-gym’ range. She is a high-IQ athlete who keeps the offense flowing and plays terrific defense against opposing ball-handlers. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="124881" first="Cheri" last="Michalek"], 5’6” Guard, Bishop Noll Institute</strong> A pass-first Floor General who plays with great maturity and leadership, Michalek is the type of player that every coach wants on their team. She is a reliable ball-handler with excellent court vision and passing skills to set her teammates up for easy buckets. Cheri can score the ball at all levels with confidence and plays great defense against opposing Guards. <strong>Emma Moya, 5’8” Guard, DePaul College Prep</strong> Moya is a talented Combo Guard who has a wide range of skills on the offensive end of the floor. She is a strong ball-handler and solid decision-maker who can knock down shots from deep or score around the rim. Emma plays tough on-ball defense against opposing Guards and is a willing rebounder on both ends of the court. <strong>Charlotte Trunk, 5’10” Forward, Carl Sandburg</strong> A hard-working Small Forward who can play in the post or out on the perimeter, Trunk does a lot of things well on a consistent basis. Charlotte uses her athleticism to move without the ball and find openings so her teammates can find her for open jumpers or easy looks on the block where she finishes with good touch. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="203016" first="Ryann" last="Wendt"], 5’11” Guard, Downers Grove North</strong> Wendt is a skilled Shooting Guard who gives great versatility as a player who impacts the game at both ends of the floor. She is a terrific shooter from deep and can drive past defenders on the wing where she finishes strong at the rim. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="203007" first="Zosia" last="Wrobel"], 6’0” Forward, Geneva</strong> A strong and athletic Small Forward with an impressive all-around game, Wrobel stretches the floor with her ability to handle the ball and knock down shots from the outside. She shows good patience and composure throughout the game and gives a ton of effort on the defensive end with her post defense and rebounding.
