Player Rankings Update: 2022 Stock Risers
7. 6-3 PF [player_tooltip player_id="152652" first="Xaviera" last="Dyer"] – Maynard Jackson
(Up from 17)
[player_tooltip player_id="152652" first="Xaviera" last="Dyer"] may have been the most impressive post player I saw this summer. She shoots the ball extremely well, consistently hitting turnarounds and long jumpers off the dribble. Dyer is a very good athlete that rebounds with authority and pushes the ball like a guard. She looks like a potential High Major forward.
18. 5-7 PG [player_tooltip player_id="238213" first="Sophie" last="Smith"] – Denmark
(Up from 25)
D-I offers are starting to trickle in for [player_tooltip player_id="238213" first="Sophie" last="Smith"], a dynamic playmaker with a very good handle. She goes side to side well and then can plant her foot and get downhill where she’s a skilled finisher. Smith has deep range from three and is a fearless passer that can riffle in difficult assists.
22. 5-6 PG [player_tooltip player_id="252748" first="Evelina" last="Davlakou"] – Luella
(Up from 28)
Kennesaw State offered [player_tooltip player_id="252748" first="Evelina" last="Davlakou"], a flashy playmaker. She has the ball on a string and is a vocal leader on the floor. She scores off the bounce from the three-point line. Davlakou can make tough passes look easy.
32. 6-3 C [player_tooltip player_id="195604" first="Detavia" last="Salter"] – Bainbridge
(Up from 56)
Multiple Low and Mid-Major schools have begun offering [player_tooltip player_id="195604" first="Detavia" last="Salter"]. She’s a skilled back-to-the-basket post, that can score in a variety of ways. She’s got a good hook shot and very nimble feet when attacking. Salter uses her body well both offensively and defensively.
37. 6-0 C [player_tooltip player_id="148869" first="Ava" last="Hunter"] – Union County
(Up from 51)
North Georgia is getting a workhorse inside that finishes through contact and scores with both hands. Hunter is a tenacious rebounder that isn’t shy to throw her weight around. Not many opponents can match her physicality. Hunter has also added more off the dribble to her game and can help alleviate pressure against the press.
41. 6-0 PF [player_tooltip player_id="195601" first="Zaria" last="Hurston"] – Norcross
(Up from 73)
D-I schools have started offering the high-energy forward. Hurston shines atop the zone, wreaking havoc with her length and activity. Zaria is a very good athlete that crashes the offensive glass relentlessly. Hurston scores the vast majority of her points in the paint.
42. 5-7 CG [player_tooltip player_id="210364" first="Jaci" last="Bolden"] – GAC
(Up from 50)
[player_tooltip player_id="210364" first="Jaci" last="Bolden"] had a strong junior season, shooting the ball with confidence from distance. She’s a good catch-and-shoot off-guard that can also score off the dribble. Bolden’s ball handling has improved and her activity on defense is effective.
70. 6-4 C [player_tooltip player_id="253926" first="Saniya" last="Jones"] – Duluth
(Up from 88)
[player_tooltip player_id="253926" first="Saniya" last="Jones"] will likely finish much higher than No. 70 in the state. She is starting to piece together her potential and with her size, she is beginning to draw D-I interest and offers. Playing big and remaining aggressive in the paint will help her reach her ceiling.
