Vivian Franklin Vivian Franklin 5'8" | SG Greenhill School | 2025 State TX -5’7 PG (Cedar Hill HS)
Franklin caught my eye a few years ago at an Individual Showcase as she was basically one of those players, that could play, that I hadn’t seen and after a solid club season on a 17U EYBL team, she is definitely making her presence felt in high school. The explosive first step, her powerful finishes after contact as well as her “on the ball” defense all were on full display as well as her creating the mid to long-range jumper
Kamryn Phoenix-5’6 PG (Cibolo Steele HS)
Phoenix is poised and under control no matter how much heat is thrown at her and I have seen some heat come at her yet she handles the pressure like an upperclassman as she controls the ball and sees the floor yet she also has a nice pull-up jumper which showed, as well as scoring off the dribble from multiple angles yet that same pressure that was applied to her is flipped as she does the same on defense
Kenidi Glover Kenidi Glover 6'0" | PF Duncanville | 2025 State TX -5’10 PF (Duncanville HS)
Glover is just amazing me, yeah she was very good early when I first caught her but she is just overpowering defenders as a freshman and her mindset is “you can’t stop me” and to be honest with you, at this stage when you’re scoring with MULTIPLE players hanging on you like she is, well that speaks volumes and the multiple “and one” opportunities turned that same volume up. She rebounds on both ends, no need to mention putbacks, and she’s scoring facing the basket
Kaylinn Kemp Kaylinn Kemp 5'9" | CG Duncanville | 2025 State TX -5’8 CG (Duncanville HS)
Kemp also was young and filled with talent when I first saw her and watching her emerge to be one of the top guards in the state is no surprise because she just does it, no matter who is on her, she can attack off the dribble and finish, she takes and knocks down the pressure shots and speaking of pressure, she applies it on the defensive end, this includes playing the passing lane yet what I also see is her court-vision as she hits teammates on the money for assists
Kiersten Russell-5’9 PF (Duncanville HS)
Russell was a big surprise for me, not sure if I’ve seen her before yet it doesn’t matter because I see potential, a whole lot, which is scary because of what she did in front of me. I love watching players “follow the ball” off the rim for rebounds, she does that and she finishes strongly after contact, whether it’s putbacks or scoring on the inside yet her pressure defense also was nice, inside and outside of the paint
Taylor Barnes-6’0 CG (South Grand Prairie HS)
Barnes had me look at the roster after one of her “coast to coast” finishes and then I used my search bar and voila, yeah I had seen her, and yeah I missed her on the initial watchlist because I didn’t realize her club team was from Texas, nevertheless, she will be added after the performance she put on in front of me. The jumper is smooth and consistent, she takes defenders with either hand yet her upside coupled with her being at “the magic number” tells me it’s no telling how high she will sail before it’s all said and done
