Prep Hoops Missouri takes a look at the top Class of 2023 forwards from the Missouri Phenom Hoopfest in Columbia.
Ashlynn Amsman 6’1 Tolono Unity: The talented forward had some of the best footwork and finishing moves that I watched at the camp. She scored on drop steps, step throughs, reverse layups among other nifty moves.
Lilly Ba 6’2 Blue Valley West: An excellent post player who has a nice combination of physical strength and fundamentals. She established a good base when she posted up to get buckets. She was also a strong rebounder with a defensive presence in the lane.
[player_tooltip player_id="204481" first="Julia" last="Coleman"] 6’0 Westminster Christian: An athletic combo forward who plays with plenty of bounce in her step. She has quick moves in the post to score or she can drive by bigger defenders. She is disruptive on the defensive end with her length and activity.
[player_tooltip player_id="224018" first="Avery" last="Simmons"] 6’0 Park Hill South: A solid post player who was very active inside battling for position. She finishes well and she can hit the baseline jumper.
[player_tooltip player_id="204482" first="Olivia" last="Angerer"] 6’1 Eugene: A long post player with a nice shooting touch around the basket. She had an impressive turnaround jumper in the lane. She’s also very mobile.
Alivia McCulla 6’1 Parkway South: A very mobile post player who was an effective scorer and rebounder inside. She is also a solid playmaker on the perimeter as she delivered some nice passes.
Sara Mendell 6’2 Ava: A solid post player who has good mobility and a versatile skill set. She was comfortable handling the ball and making a play off the dribble.
