<strong>2023 [player_tooltip player_id="207052" first="Alyssa" last="Hughes"], 5’7” Guard, St. Charles North</strong> A sharp-shooting Point Guard who has success on or off-ball, Hughes is a player that opposing defenses constantly need to keep track of. Alyssa can catch fire in a hurry from beyond the three-point line and uses her ball-handling skills to get in the lane where she makes good passes or finishes strong around taller defenders. <strong>2025 [player_tooltip player_id="335792" first="Aria" last="Mazza"], 5’5” Guard, Conant</strong> Mazza is an incredibly skilled athlete on the offensive end with her ability to create off the bounce for herself and her teammates and knock down shots from beyond the three-point line. Aria can score the ball at every level and has a unique feel for the game that allows her to be a constant playmaker with the ball in her hands. <strong>2023 [player_tooltip player_id="148166" first="Brooklyn" last="Ficek"], 5’4” Guard, LaSalle Peru</strong> A speedy Point Guard who plays hard on both ends of the floor, Ficek is a terrific shooter who can knock down shots off the dribble regularly. Brooklyn excels in the transition game with her ball-handling and decision making and plays outstanding on-ball defense against opposing Point Guards. <strong>2024 [player_tooltip player_id="265963" first="Reagan" last="Sipla"], 6’1” Guard, St. Charles North</strong> Sipla is a lengthy and athletic Shooting Guard who provides great versatility with her skillset. While Reagan is a talented shooter from beyond the three-point line, she also makes plays in the lane and impacts the game on the defensive end with her ability to defend both Guards and Forwards. <strong>2022 [player_tooltip player_id="335731" first="Alaila" last="Walker"], 5’7” Guard, Kalamazoo Central </strong> A consistent knock-down shooter from beyond the three-point line, Walker showed as much range from deep as anyone throughout the Expo. Alaila is a strong Combo Guard who hunts her shot when she’s feeling it but can also attack the lane and finish through contact. <strong>2025 [player_tooltip player_id="335780" first="Malaysia" last="Jones-Collier"], 5’4” Guard, Moline</strong> Jones-Collier is a talented outside shooter in the incoming Freshman Class who showed great confidence and consistency at the Expo. Malaysia has solid range on her jumper and proved to be a reliable ball-handler and scorer in the lane with her strong finishing ability at the basket. <strong>2023 [player_tooltip player_id="205568" first="Mariann" last="Blass"], 5’9” Guard, York</strong> Blass is a highly skilled Combo Guard who is comfortable running the show with her reliable ball-handling skills and confidence as a scorer. Mariann is an excellent shooter from deep and the mid-range and is exciting to watch in transition with her court vision and passing skills. <strong>2023 [player_tooltip player_id="335710" first="SAMANTHA" last="ORIGEL"], 5’9” Guard, Burlington Central</strong> Origel is a versatile player who can play any of the Guard spots with her ball-handling and scoring abilities. Samantha is a confident and consistent shooter from beyond the three-point line and uses her strength to attack the lane and finish through contact at the rim.
