PGH NJ 2022 Prospects No. 16-19

Prep Girls Hoops New Jersey has been bringing you plenty of high school prospect content with the upcoming 2021-22 season that will be starting in November. All four class prospect lists have been released in anticipation for the upcoming season and in this article, we’ll be taking a closer look at the 2022 class. We now look at the No. 16-19 best prospects in the state as ranked by our Prep Girls Hoops New Jersey team. No. 16: [player_tooltip player_id="134642" first="Veyoni" last="Davis"] - 5-8 CG, Eastern Davis has moved around quite a bit within South Jersey, starting at Moorestown Friends before moving to Paul VI in the spring and now Eastern for her senior season. She was a key piece to Paul VI’s success last season, a combination of finesse and strength that many guards in the area were unable to stop. Now at Eastern, she looks to build upon her overall game, which she’s worked on relentlessly in the summer with Team Final. Davis can shoot from the outside with consistency and is an excellent perimeter defender. We did see a dip in average production going to Paul VI, but expect those averages to climb back up again as she’ll be one of Eastern’s main impact players this fall. No. 17: [player_tooltip player_id="155468" first="Brooke" last="Hollawell"] - 5-6 PG, Manasquan Hollawell showed out as a junior, averaging 14.1 PPG for Manasquan on a team that was one of the most dominant in the Shore Conference, going 13-2 overall. The one-two punch of [player_tooltip player_id="159084" first="Mary" last="Donnelly"] and Hollawell was a nightmare for opponents. The two return this season looking to do the same, and what we’re expecting from the point guard is continued success running the point for this program. She looks incredibly comfortable controlling the tempo on offense and has a fantastic ability to weave her way into the lane. She was also Manasquan’s best perimeter shooter in the spring, hitting nearly two three-pointers a game. That production is going to be a major asset to this team this coming winter. No. 18: [player_tooltip player_id="319019" first="Ella" last="Madden"] - 5-11 PF, Park Ridge Park Ridge was able to play just eight games during the spring, just over half of the already shortened Covid season in New Jersey, but Madden was as dominant as you could ask for in that time. She averaged a double-double in the spring, 20.1 PPG and 13.3 RPG, along with 1.1 BPG and 3.4 SPG as a junior, just absolutely incredible stats in the NJIC. Madden was the main piece that helped Park Ridge to a 7-1 record in that shortened season, and now, with a full season coming up this winter, she’s ready to absolutely dominate the NJIC once again. No. 19: [player_tooltip player_id="319020" first="Amaya" last="Burch"] - 5-7 SG, Timber Creek Burch put in absolute work on the basketball court in the spring, averaging 18.5 PPG and 7.4 RPG for Timber Creek, leading the team in scoring and finishing second in rebounding. She was as dominant as dominant gets in the Tri-County Conference, arguably a top-2 or top-3 player in the conference overall. Burch does everything right from her aggressive offense to her lock-down defense on the other side of the ball. Her work for Team Final during the AAU season this summer has elevated her game that much more and we’re expecting a massive season from her this winter, with a double-double average being a real possibility.
