The Middle Border has a solid group of teams that all and all make the conference balanced from top to bottom. Over last season Prescott went 13-0 in the conference which unfortunately led them to a postseason where they ran into Aquinas early, where they really played well. With a player like [player_tooltip player_id="260828" first="Autumn" last="Earney"] on a team who finished 6-8 in conference play, it’s easy to see how deep this conference is.
[player_tooltip player_id="156094" first="Hattie" last="Fox"]-5’9 G-’23-Osceola: Fox is a very talented wing who has the ability to score at a high level. She topped out with 32 point game against St. Croix Central. With her scoring, she can really change the game. With her age, there is obviously a level of inconsistency she still has to iron out. Her scoring, however, just as a sophomore, is extremely impressive and gives her a good base to build her offensive game around.
Anna Jordt-’22-Baldwin-Woodman: A relatively unknown prospect from the Middle Border, Jordt is a very efficient scorer. Jordt scored 13 points while making over half the shots she took. She also shot 30% from the three-point line. Jordt also rebounds well, pulling down almost eight rebounds a game. Her numbers scream efficiency and that alone makes her a very interesting prospect.
[player_tooltip player_id="266986" first="Molly" last="Janke"]-5’10 G/F-’24-Ellsworth: Janke’s freshman campaign was as wildly successful as the numbers would suggest. Beginning her high school career with a double-double season with 14 points and 11 rebounds is really good. The most insane part about her game is how close she came to averaging a triple-double. By averaging 6 assists she probably came as close as anyone in the state to that feat. Improvement for her will mainly come from her efficiency, she’s very talented.
MyKenzie Leccia-5-10 F-Somerset: One of the best creators in the conference Leccia does an excellent job of getting her teammate’s open shots. With a creator, the one stat I think is most telling is their assist to turnover ratio. Leccia’s 5.3:3 assist to turnover ratio makes her a very reliable player and being able to make aggressive passes and not turn the ball over is a skill that not every player has.
