Sara Chavez Sara Chavez 6'2" Permian | 2022 TX -6’2 C (Permian HS)
Chavez uses her body well inside the paint, yeah she has good hands and footwork and finishes after contact but her agility on both ends of the court added to what she brings to the table. She follows the ball off the rim, a lost art, for rebounds, she also can follow her man outside the paint and defend yet she even showed she could score off the dribble from 6 or 7 feet by putting the ball on the floor
Lauryn Williams Lauryn Williams 5'4" Mansfield | 2022 TX -5’4 PG (Mansfield HS)
Williams saw the floor very well, either in the set as she made nice passes for assist opportunities or in transition hitting teammates on the money yet she also showed she could rebound on the defensive end and handle the ball coast to coast while being pressured, to either score or dish and she also did a good job of taking the defender off the dribble to score
Menaiya Ewing Menaiya Ewing 5'6" Trinity Christian -Lubbock | 2022 TX -5’6 CG (Trinity Christian-Lubbock HS)
Ewing did a whole lot of things that caught my eye starting with her attacking the rim with an explosive first step and finishing with power. She creates her shot nicely while being pressured and showed both the mid and long-range but she also understands how to create contact and that coupled with her body control was nice, so was her seeing the floor
Caitlyn Patterson Caitlyn Patterson 5'5" Eaton | 2022 TX -5’5 PG (Eaton HS)
Patterson has several things you can’t teach and one of them is the desire to do things you may not notice on a score or stat sheet so the numerous times she dove for loose balls helped create turnovers or the picks which led to baskets yet a stat that will see was her ability to see the floor and her threading the needle between players for assists was nice, oh yeah, she dropped some jumpers as well
Alexandra Steele Alexandra Steele 5'10" | SF Flower Mound | 2022 State TX -5’10 SF (Flower Mound)
Steele definitely falls into that “Agent Of” category because she’s so versatile and with her size, that’s huge so yeah, she can score off the dribble as well as knock down the jumper, and since she’s a few shades shy of “the magic number” that in itself fits the profile for many schools at the next level but she also handled the ball and saw the floor
Madyson Tate Madyson Tate 5'11" Gilmer | 2022 TX -5’11 SF (Gilmer HS)
Tate just came up in so many plays to create havoc. Yeah, she anticipates well and played the passing lane but she also understood how and when to switch. She rebounded strongly, on both ends and scored off of putbacks but she also showed she could score off the dribble as well as finish after the lick.
Morgan Williams Morgan Williams 6'0" | C Ischool Virtual Academy | 2022 TX -6’1 PF (Ischool Virtual Academy)
Williams rebounded well throughout the event, it helps that she understands positioning yet it also helps that she wants the ball when it comes off the rim. She also uses her body on offense to seal the defender and showed she could finish multiple ways around the basket as well as step outside the paint and attack the rim to finish, many times after contact
