Kori Pillette Kori Pillette 5'4" | PG Teague | 2024 TX -5’3 CG (Teague HS)
Pillette rhymes with Gillette and that fits because she was “close” on defense like the shave the razor gives me but she dove on the floor for loose balls numerous times and just created pressure to cause turnovers but on the flip, I enjoyed watching her take defenders off the dribble, with either hand and finish the same way, with either hand and let me not leave out she did a few times after contact. She also created her shot well, under pressure and dropped some jumpers
Taylor Gerard-6’3 SF (Dulles HS)
Gerard is long and athletic yet before I “drop the mic” that is still the base used by many college coaches at the next level. Factor in she’s 75 inches tall and probably the wingspan of a 6’5 player, her versatility and untapped potential make her very scary as she’s on the verge of something huge. She can shoot the long ball, getting it off is obviously no problem, yet she also showed me she could handle the ball in the open court and see the floor, that’s even bigger because it gives her option as she can keep and score or dish it for assists
Shunteria Anumele-5’9 CG (St Pius HS)
Anumele is probably one of the most explosive guards in her class, wait, did I say I probably. Her first step is explosive and she attacks powerfully from whichever direction she chooses yet her strength, as well as body control, drops her into my “and-one waiting to happen” category. She also handles the ball under pressure, this includes baseline to baseline and she has good court vision as her passes are crisp and on the money yet take this to the bank, her defense is smothering as she’s “on the ball” baseline to baseline
Cyncere McDonald Cyncere McDonald 5'4" Connally | 2024 TX -5’6 CG (Connally HS)
McDonald is, well let me be SINCERE, she’s on her way to another status for a few simple reasons. Yes, I knew she could score off the dribble as well as mid to long-range before the camp however her being HEADY, playing within herself, and understanding how to get hers in the flow were all shown but let’s not get it twisted as she showed something very impressive, she could take the game over at the blink of an eye. She wanted the ball in crunch time and knocked down some clutch shots
Mila Rossini Mila Rossini 5'7" The Village School | 2024 State TX -5’5 CG (St Pius HS)
Rossini grabbed my attention a few weeks ago at a fall league yet this was a different setting and she showed me a few different things as she stays under control, under pressure, and with the heat, she was going against “it’s not what you do, it’s who you do it against” definitely impressed me. She creates her shot and knocks it down with a hand in her face but she is “heady” and has good court vision so that, coupled with her ball-handling gives her opportunities to attack and finish or attack and dish
