2022
MeLeah Grayson 6’0″ Lee’s Summit North: A talented post player who was very active inside as a rebounder. She set solid screens and scored on the roll down with the ability to catch and finish in traffic. She’s a very willing and capable worker at both ends of the floor.
Sa’yere Banks 5’10″ St. Michael the Archangel: A hard-working lefty post player who played with a high motor. Her mobility and activity enabled her to compete well against taller players. She was also strong on the drive as she scored on aggressive takes to the basket.
2023
Nariah Clay 5’8″ Canton: I was impressed with this young guard when I watched her in June at the MBCA Small College Showcase and that didn’t change after watching her last Sunday. She’s a slashing guard who’s very smooth with the handles and a good finisher in the lane. She can also impact the game on the defensive end with her athleticism.
Bettye Raye 5’7″ Lincoln Prep: A solid wing player who competed hard at both ends of the floor. She used her physical strength to score on some strong takes to the basket. She rebounded well and she didn’t mind the contact when she went inside against taller players. She also knocked down a couple of 3-pointers in transition in the game that I watched.
Kinley Hammitt 5’7″ Nixa: A solid young guard who was very effective at attacking the basket. Her fundamentals were good and she used good footwork to free herself up to score on her drives to the basket. She moved well without the basketball to the open spots to hit perimeter jumpers.
