Sage Begay Sage Begay 5'8" | SG Flagstaff | 2023 State AZ – Junior – Flagstaff High School
I had the pleasure of watching the upcoming junior shooting guard for the Flagstaff Lady Eagles earlier this month at the Prep Girls Hoops Top 250 Expo in Gilbert. There Sage showed off her top-tier skill set in front of a crowd over the course of five games. She stood out to those in attendance being named *First Team All-Tournament (article linked below) and one of the top Power Players at the event. Last high school season she averaged 10.2 points per game for 193 points total as an underclassman. Begay is an aggressor on both ends of the floor and can get the job done at all three levels. The future is bright for this one.

Rebecca Arave – Junior – 5’10” – Lee Williams High School
Rebecca is another player who had an outstanding year as an underclassman. She has started both her freshman and sophomore years for the Lee Williams Lady Volunteers and I wouldn’t doubt the 2021-2022 basketball season will be any different. Not only was she a starter, but she was also an impact player for her team and someone they looked to in a tough position. Arave led the Grand Canyon region in rebounding as a freshman and averaged 10.3 rebounds per game last season. She also averaged 11.9 points per game, seven double-doubles, and was named the MaxPreps Player of the Game three different times. This is a name to KNOW!
Kacie Clinton – Senior – 5’8″ – Bradshaw Mountain High School
Clinton is a five-foot-eight senior small forward for the Bradshaw Mountain Lady Bears. She has played on Varsity since freshman year and has had a vital role each season. Last year, Kacie averaged 9.2 points per game and was named MaxPreps Player of the Game in four separate games for an outstanding performance. She received these awards in the games played against Mohave (double-double, 11 points, 13 rebounds), Mingus (23 points), Prescott (17 points, 8 rebounds), and Coronado (double-double, 18 points, 14 rebounds). It is no secret that Kacie can ball and I am excited to see how she goes out for her senior year.
Kendal Newton – Senior – 5’4″ – Bradshaw Mountain High School
Newton is another senior for the Bradshaw Mountain Lady Bears that may have fallen under the radar but is not one to sleep on. In 17 games played, she averaged 8.2 points per game for a total of 140 points junior year. Some of her points came from the three-point line but Kendal knew how to get to the basket other ways. At five-foot-four, Kendal is scrappy and plays hard throughout her time on the court. She keeps the ball moving, sees the floor well, and never hesitates to dish the ball to an open teammate.
Breonna Curtis – Senior – 5’8″ – Flagstaff High School
#44 Breonna Curtis is a five-foot-eight big body who will get in the game for the Flagstaff Lady Eagles and do her job. Even though she is not the leading scorer for her team, she can impact the game during her minutes in other ways. In a tough win 55-50 win over a talented Buckeye team, Curtis had 13 points and 8 rebounds (4 offensive, 4 defensive). She can find her way in between the defender in the basket at the perfect time to catch them off guard to get the steal or the block down low. Breonna also makes the effort to keep her head and eyes up to find the closest outlet pass to keep the transition moving.
