Kinslee Millican-5’9 SF (Canyon)
Millican smoothly found ways to put the ball in the basket and by smoothly I mean with ease as well as playing within herself. She creates her shot under pressure to knock down the jumper or attack the rim off the dribble, yet she also was vocal on the court, on both ends, and speaking of both ends, she also did a good job rebounding
Kamryn Cox-5’5 SG (Dumas)
Cox definitely doesn’t mind contact as she attacks the basket strongly and scores after the lick but she also understands how to make the defender commit to create contact, that’s not easy, but it also helps that she can drop the outside shot consistently and does a good job defending “on the ball” baseline to baseline
Sara Casner-5’7 SG (Silverton)
Casner had one of the best pull-up jumpers at the camp, she understands how to create her shot, she doesn’t force anything and she knocks it down consistently but she also can score by attacking with either hand as well as finishing with either hand. Solid defender, good hands on the defensive enabled her to come up with steals
Cylee Lopez-5’4 SG (A.C. Jones)
Lopez sets the defender up multiple ways and her array of moves as well as maneuvering to the basket was nice, especially her off balance finishes but she also could shoot the ball and this kept the defender honest especially after she started dropping the long ball from another zip code, but the midrange was also nice
Makenna Kaunitz Makenna Kaunitz 5'8" Gilmer | 2023 TX -5’8 CG (Gilmer)
Kaunitz looked familiar before I looked at the roster and I remembered her being one of the standouts at PGH Texas Top 250 Expo and one thing I like is consistency and she showed me exactly what I wrote initially and then some. I wrote about her “versatility” and offensively, she was a multiple threat either scoring mid to long-range or off the dribble yet her seeing the floor for assists also was impressive
Bobbie Fouquet-6’0 SF (Claude)
Fouquet stands at “the magic number” which is 6’0 and when you can shoot the ball as she can, that’s very appealing to college coaches because “they love big guards that can shoot” and although she also rebounds powerfully as well as scores on the inside so she could definitely play the 3 in certain systems and be effective, well very effective
Danielle Pacheco-5’3 PG (Plainview)
Pacheco didn’t get the hashtag dropped on my earlier eval #sizedontmatter but she can definitely play and being heady, under control, and understanding how to run a team is certainly great qualities to have, she also made it even better by handling the ball under pressure but she also scored, off the dribble and made some nice passes for assists
