2022 Rankings: The Top Ten

With the latest 2022 ranking update we’ve surpassed 100 ranked players in the class and almost definitely missed some worthy of ranking. Here’s a look at the top ten players in the Senior class rankings. [player_tooltip player_id="31885" first="Amiya" last="Jenkins"], Anderson County - Our top ranked 2022 continues her reign. Recently committed to Kentucky, Jenkins is a scoring machine who can affect the game in multiple ways. She's the front runner for Miss Basketball heading into the season. [player_tooltip player_id="106153" first="Gracie" last="Merkle"], Bullitt East - Gracie maintains her spot at #2 in the rankings heading into her Senior season. At 6'5, Merkle is a mismatch for every team in the state and should have another season averaging a double-double. She's committed to Miami (OH). [player_tooltip player_id="106134" first="Jaya" last="McClure"], CAL - Jaya celebrated her signing with Ohio University this week and moves up one spot into the top 3 of our rankings. McClure is a shifty lead guard who can score or create open looks for teammates. She'll look to lead CAL to Rupp Arena in March. [player_tooltip player_id="106131" first="Jaileyah" last="Cotton"], Bardstown - The top player in the 5th region last season, Cotton finds herself leading the 5th region favorites on the road to Rupp. Jaileyah is a gifted scorer who can play on or off the ball and get buckets with ease. She's signed to East Tennessee State. [player_tooltip player_id="157946" first="Riley" last="Neal"], North Oldham - Joining Merkle at Miami (OH) next year, Riley is one of the most skilled scorers in the class and is a true inside out scoring threat. The 8th region is loaded and North Oldham will rely on Neal to get them deep into the postseason. [player_tooltip player_id="106138" first="Cassidy" last="Rowe"], Shelby Valley - Cassidy has battled through adversity in her career and should be mentioned on the short list of Miss Basketball candidates now that she's back to 100% after a couple of knee injuries. Rowe committed to Kentucky as a middle schooler and just signed with the Cats this week. [player_tooltip player_id="106151" first="Josie" last="Gilvin"], Sacred Heart - The MVP of last season's state tournament, Josie's recruiting took off this summer and she ultimately committed to Western Kentucky. On the court, Gilvin is a two way player who is capable of guarding the opposing team's best player and getting buckets on the offensive end. [player_tooltip player_id="106133" first="Rachel" last="Presley"], South Laurel - Rachel has been in the top of this class since the rankings started a couple of years ago. A bruising post player who can protect the rim on defense and score with her back to the basket or facing up, Presley committed to Campbellsville this week and should make an immediate impact there. [player_tooltip player_id="106132" first="Halle" last="Langhi"], Marshall County - A two sport star, Halle has scholarship offers in basketball and volleyball and will be an impact player at the next level in either sport. On the basketball court, Langhi is a versatile forward who has some stretch to her game and will be a top player in the first region this season. [player_tooltip player_id="106137" first="Lacey" last="Bradshaw"], Notre Dame - Recently committed to Morehead State, Lacey is a slashing forward who can play with the ball in her hands or attack off the wing in addition to being a threat to catch and shoot from 3. Notre Dame has a chance to win the 9th region this season and a big Senior year from Bradshaw could get them there.
