2023 Rankings: Top Point Guards (Pt. 1)

Washington’s 2023 class has several college prospects for multiple levels of college. There is some decent depth at the position and every point guard on the list remains available as of November 2nd, 2021. This is part one of a two part series.
5’5 point guard [player_tooltip player_id="115413" first="Malia" last="Samuels"] (Garfield HS) reigns at the top of this list as the top point guard in the state and one of the better PGs on the west coast. Samuels has all the tools athletically and plays with great drive and tempo. Her jumpshot is solid and she can hit the pull-up or step back off the bounce. A really good player in transition!
5’7 point guard [player_tooltip player_id="115402" first="Hope" last="Hassmann"] (Tahoma HS) is a fundamentally sound prospect that plays under control and has an all around good feel for the game. She can handle versus pressure and makes good reads in pick and roll situations. Hassmann plays with great joy for the game and has several colleges recruiting her.
5’6 point guard [player_tooltip player_id="115418" first="Navaeh" last="Talbert"] (Garfield HS) is a steady presence at the point guard position. She handles versus pressure with ease and can knock down the midrange pull-up or transition three ball. Talbert is at her best in competitive situations where she is challenged.
5’8 point guard [player_tooltip player_id="115404" first="Kaylia" last="Jackson"] (Eastlake HS) is a defensive stopper from the point. She slides her feet very well and has good length to cause some disruption on the defensive end. An all around good athlete that should help Eastlake High School to a strong season this Winter.
5’7 point guard [player_tooltip player_id="115407" first="Rylee" last="Leishman"] (Ellensburg HS) is an exceptionally hard working guard that does her best to maximize her ability. Leishman is best known for her potent shooting ability from the three point line. She is also a high IQ player.
