Mia Xerras Mia Xerras 5'6" | CG Myers Park | 2023 State NC | Myers Park
16 points // 7 assists // 3 steals
Xerras came right in the game showing off her shot from beyond the arc. She did well anticipating passes on defense to grab steals. She does an excellent job creating separation from her opponents getting them on their heels long enough to put up her shot. She makes nice passes into her teammates for their own points underneath the basket.
Maraja Pass Maraja Pass 5'6" | PG Winston-Salem Christian National | 2023 State NC | Shelby
23 points // 8 rebounds // 5 assists // 5 steals // 1 block
Pass is smooth with the ball showing off some nice crossovers to get away from her opponents and get to the hoop. She does a great job driving and dropping it down to her open teammate underneath the basket. She had a nice floater over her defenders to score her points. She easily takes the ball from coast to coast finishing at the rim. Her anticipation on defense led to steals that she pushed to the other end of the court with speed.
Ally Hollifield Ally Hollifield 5'7" | CG Shelby | 2023 State NC | Shelby
10 points // 3 assists // 3 steals
Hollifield is showing why she’s already a great shooter draining it from deep. She had a nice old fashioned three point play, too. On the defensive end of the court, her opponents learn their lesson bringing the ball down low as she strips it away from them blocking their passes and ability to put up a shot. She hit a deep three as time expired to send the game into overtime.
Samyha Suffren Samyha Suffren 5'8" | PG Cannon | 2023 State NC | Cannon
22 points // 7 rebounds // 2 assists // 6 steals
Suffren is a dominant athlete no matter where she plays on the court. She can bring the ball up blowing by her opponents, and she can set herself up as a shooting guard showing off her range from deep. She does a little bit of everything on the court including getting inside to grab rebounds using her strength to move her opponents out of the way. Her quickness and basketball IQ allows her to grab steals moving it quickly the other direction.
Jordyn Latter Jordyn Latter 5'8" | SF Providence Day | 2023 State NC | Providence Day
15 points // 9 rebounds // 1 assist // 1 steal
Latter is effective making cuts to the basket waiting for the pass to score her points. She runs the floor with speed ready to catch a pass in transition and put it up for a fast break. She can go up high for passes making her an easy target no matter where she is on the court.
Mckenzie Taylor | Concord Academy
13 points // 4 rebounds // 2 assists // 5 steals
Taylor was grabbing steals and causing problems on defense the entire game. She is sneaky when it comes to jumping into passing lanes to grab steals. She had some clutch old fashioned three point plays to cut into the lead from Providence Day. She gets to the hoop using crossovers to get by her opponents.
Kirsten Lewis-Williams Kirsten Lewis-Williams 5'10" | CG Lake Norman | 2023 State NC | Lake Norman
17 points // 8 rebounds // 4 assists // 3 steals // 2 blocks
Lewis-Williams (pictured above) makes smart cuts in and out of the paint ready for a pass from her teammates to put through the hoop. She hustles all over the court showing off her she blocking ability as she got back on defense stopping her opponents from getting a fast break. She was always ready to shoot even with some putbacks on the offensive side of the ball.
