The East Texas Baptist commit displayed good court vision and delivered accurate passes with both hands, while also showing that she can shoot the three as well as score at the rim via dribble penetration when on the ball and timely cuts while playing away from the ball. In addition, Purcell was an engaged defender who never took a defensive trip off. She ended the weekend with a championship trophy and tournament MVP honors.

Although the senior guard did show off her ability to hit tough jumpers, her slashing was the most effective tool at her disposal on Saturday. Her explosive first step coupled with her acrobatic finishing allowed her to blow by defenders with regularity. It resulted in tons of high-percentage looks from close range as well as several trips to the foul line. The Rice commit continuously found ways to put points on the scoreboard for her team, even when the defense keyed in on her.
Peyton Mosley | 2022 | 5’9’’ Point Guard | Prosper HS – Mosley continues to be one of the most underrated guard prospects in the state. She can hurt opponents in so many different ways. Her playmaking and feel for the game are special. She was great at getting her teammates the ball in advantageous situations on Thursday. The Prosper senior is also a crafty scorer who can get it done from multiple levels. Most impressively, Mosley made winning plays when it mattered most, evidenced by the closing seconds of her opening matchup of the tournament. She assisted on the game-tying layup, took a charge on the following defensive trip to earn her team the final possession of the game, then delivered a dime to a teammate that led to a foul and a game-winning free throw.
Taylor Dailey | 2022 | 5’7’’ Shooting Guard | Wylie East HS – Dailey had things rolling with her jump shot this weekend, helping to lead Wylie East to a second-place finish in the silver division. She hit jumpers from all over the place, many of which were incredibly difficult shots. The senior two-guard knocked down shots from mid to long-range, showcasing that she isn’t afraid to let it fly even when defenders were in here area. At the other end, Dailey did an outstanding job of playing the passing lanes and coming up with steals and deflections. She has a nose for the basketball on defense.
Hailey Mason | 2022 | 5’8’’ Shooting Guard/Small Forward | Denton Guyer HS – Mason’s raw athleticism is off the charts and that has always been evident. Now, the Guyer senior has refined her skills, developing into an absolute nightmare for opposing teams to deal with at either end of the court. On Thursday, Mason drilled a three, scored through contact at the rim, and showed off her vertical ability as a rebounder with some impressive glass cleaning. Moreover, she never took a play off, utilizing her high motor and overall speed to impact the game in a variety of ways. This is a two-way prospect with so much upside. Harding University got themselves a steal in Mason.

Her movement was fluid and she even handled the ball comfortably in the open court when forced to do so. She also produced in the half court with some physical baskets in the paint. The Rockwall forward exhibited strong hands at the catch and was decisive when receiving a touch down low. In addition, Moore was sneaky good as a passer both in the interior and on the perimeter. She is a mobile post player with solid versatility.
Kailee Benton | 2022 | 5’5’’ Combo Guard | Randall HS – Benton was constantly around the ball and making plays in her opening game of the weekend. The Randall guard was excellent from mid-range, draining jumpers when spotting up as well as off the dribble. She played well when operating at both guard spots, making smart decisions when handling the lead guard duties. On defense, Benton was outstanding when it came to moving laterally and staying in front of opposing ball handlers. Beyond that, she contributed with her passing, rebounding, and overall aggressiveness.
