<strong>2022 5-7 W Deasia Canty – Washington County</strong>
Deasia Canty is a tenacious rebounder with endless energy. She has wide shoulders and a tough-nosed demeanor. Canty crashes the boards and starts her own fastbreak by pushing it and going coast-to-coast. Canty’s offense came exclusively in the paint as she finished with 10 points, 13 rebounds and 4 steals.
<strong>2022 5-9 W Carmen Cooper – Redan</strong>
Cooper looks the part with her athletic build and nice size. Carmen works her way onto the offensive glass and earns second chance points for the Raiders. She hit a mid-range jumper and even banked in a three. Cooper is a valuable defender with great switchability.
<strong>2023 5-6 G Kennedy Daniels – Redan</strong>
Second in command in the Redan backcourt is Kennedy Daniels. She plays a key role in helping relieve pressure off [player_tooltip player_id="252688" first="Jayla" last="Cook"] and is the primary ball handler when Cook is face guarded. Kennedy showed an ability to score off the dribble from both the mid-range and all the way at the rim. Another year of development will help her have a big senior season.
<strong>2024 5-8 W Britley Johnson – Jones County</strong>
Sometimes hustling is all you need to do to separate yourself from others. Britley Johnson did just that, providing infectious energy in the Greyhounds’ 38-32 win over Veterans. Johnson slashed to the hoop and scored around the rim en route to a game-high 14 points. She picked up 3 steals and 1 block as well.
<strong>2023 6-0 C Shania Bryant – Jones County</strong>
Bryant didn’t need to score to be an important piece. Shania set heavy screens and was able to eliminate second chance opportunities. She hit a long jumper and a drew a charge. It was a solid day, finishing with 5 points, 9 rebounds and 3 blocks. Bryant is getting better each season and that’s all you can ask for.
<strong>2022 5-8 F Gabby Tribue – Veterans</strong>
Not being the tallest player didn’t hurt Gabby a bit as she tallied 8 points, 11 rebounds, 2 steals and 4 blocks. Tribue is a good athlete that plays hard. She liked to grab rebounds and push the ball immediately. Her energy on defense helped her guard 1-5.
