Warrensville Heights will have a new look this season, not only due to the graduation of standout Guard Welline Tere, but due to the fact that Warrensville has some really good pieces added to the program as you will learn about below. The Tigers made history last year and are looking to go even further this year. This team has a lot of experience that has played the game of basketball. Seeing glimpses of them together is a scary sight to see for the reigning Lake Erie League champions.
Shaw returns their roster, led by La’Nae, a dominant post when she wants to be in the class of 2022. Also, a newcomer will be 5-11 2022 Serena Dae’shawna, a post who looks to open some eyes this season and a loaded post presence from the cardinals squad this year. This team is an aggressive bunch that has a coach who is really creating a competitive culture.
Cleveland Heights coach Karen Battle has done a great job with her success and development of the program for years. This season they will be very young with Peyton smith, a long and athletic player that has good energy leading the way. This young lady will be the fore front runner in working alongside of coach battle to work and develop the young talent. Coach Battle is a developer and knows the game and she will get her team where she had them for the years of success she has had.
Shaker Heights will have a very young team with a lot to learn. Shaker Heights has a new coach as of this fall that will work to develop and implement a competitive culture. Shaker Heights has a lot of good size and athleticism in the program. Shaker also after seeing them play in a scrimmage looks to have some young guards that can handle the basketball and as they learn the game they will make the team better.

The areas most intriguing prospect is a newcomer returning to the high school basketball of Cleveland in a new uniform with a bigger role. This year Warrensville has a 3 headed monster group in Jada Ward Jada Ward 5'5" | PG Warrensville Heights | 2022 OH , Zennia Thomas Zennia Thomas 6'2" | PF Warrensville Heights | 2022 State OH , and a special face many have not seen.
There is one sleeper to watch in this conference that many people in Northeast, OH have not had a chance to watch all season this will be the year to see 2023 Janyah Bohanon Janyah Bohanon 6'0" | SF Warrensville | 2023 State OH ( Warrensville Heights) There are a few more girls from Cleveland Heights that are young and getting after it. Over at Shaw, there is a really solid newcomer post Dae’shawna Harwell 2022 along with Mahogany Jackson a returner looking to bring energy and a ball handler.
