2022
Jordan Jones-6’0 PG (St. Agnes)
Jones gives defenders the blues yet at times it’s the black and blues because of her blue-collar mentality in the paint. She goes after the ball off the rim, let me drop #THROWBACK and she finishes powerfully with either hand after contact yet she also does a good job rebounding on both ends and defends well inside
Caince Chatman-6’1 C (Kinkaid)
Chatman may not be related to Tracey, nm, her ability to drop step for baskets also gets her a #THROWBACK but more importantly is the progression she’s made over the years. Her college-ready body has helped her go from a decoy around yet her working on her “hands and footwork” thrown into that “double-double waiting to happen group”
Jazmyn Willaims-5’10 F (Kinkaid)
Williams has also elevated her game each time I’ve caught her, yeah she’s long and athletic but watching her develop her outside shot, the pull-up is smooth and sweet as well as her taking defenders off the dribble, with either, to score with either hand, after contact was definitely a nice touch, so was her playing the passing lane
2023
Catherine Webster-G (St Agnes)
Webster gets the THROWBACK simply for doing that lost art I love, “follows her shot” and why this went away keeps me bewildered yet she’s long and athletic, has good timing to not block shots but read the passing lanes and come up with steals, aka “playing the passing lane” and her jumper is nice as well
2024
Olivia Ndee (Kinkaid)
Ndee has UPS written by her name and it has nothing to do with PARCELS yet she delivers by rebounding strongly on both ends of the court and overpowering defenders on putbacks, yeah she finishes strongly after contact but her athleticism combined with her strength gives her options and watching her score after playing the passing lane speaks volumes about her upside
