Class of 2024 Prospects To Watch This Season

The Class of 2024 has a ton of potential and it starts with these players who had a major impact last season. <span style="text-decoration: underline;">[player_tooltip player_id="357649" first="Perla" last="Miramontes"]</span>- 5’4 Shooting Guard "Academy For Technology" Class of 2024 Last season as a freshman, [player_tooltip player_id="357649" first="Perla" last="Miramontes"] made a major impact right away and came away with plenty of varsity experience in year one. As a freshman lat year she led her team in scoring and ranked 1st among scorers in the 2024 Class. She helped guide her school to an undefeated regular season at 12-0 and make the state tournament in the 2A Class. She was also a nice all around player contributing with 5.6 rebounds per game which ranked second on her team and averaged 3.5 steals per game on the defensive end. Now with a year of varsity experience under her belt, expect a breakout season from her this year. <span style="text-decoration: underline;">[player_tooltip player_id="357650" first="Caitlin" last="Turnbow"]</span>- 5’10 Power Forward "Onate" Class of 2024 <p style="text-align: left;">[player_tooltip player_id="357650" first="Caitlin" last="Turnbow"] is an already becoming one of the best young post players in New Mexico and she is only going to get better with experience with a full schedule this year. She made a major impact scoring, rebounding and defensively last year. At her size she averaged an impressive 11.3 points per game which made her the second leading scorer on her team last season and 7.6 rebounds per game which led her team in that category. She helped Onate get to an impressive 8-4 regular season last spring and expect them to improve this season.</p> <p style="text-align: left;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">[player_tooltip player_id="357651" first="Charli" last="Koseoglu"]</span>- 5’6 Small Forward "Academy For Technology" Class of 2024</p> <p style="text-align: left;">[player_tooltip player_id="357651" first="Charli" last="Koseoglu"] is another player from the Class of 2024 that had a solid freshman year and is on the verge of taking another step forward this season. She was also a big part in her school going 12-0 in the regular season and will be another core piece for this team moving froward the next few years. She averaged 10.3 points per game and averaged 7.6 rebounds per game. She was the teams second leading scorer and the teams leading rebounder from last season. Expect her numbers and production to increase with her getting more opportunities this season.</p> <p style="text-align: left;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">[player_tooltip player_id="357652" first="Azalia" last="Malizia"]</span>- 5’4 Point Guard "Valencia" Class of 2024</p> <p style="text-align: left;">Valencia’s Point Guard [player_tooltip player_id="357652" first="Azalia" last="Malizia"] made a major impact her freshman year right away and gained a lot of attention with her stellar play her first year on the varsity level. She was the teams leading scorer and the team leader in assists per game. She has a nice all around game where she can make an impact scoring, rebounding and getting her teammates involved by setting them up for open shots. She was also very good on the defensive end of the floor where she averaged around 2.8 steals per game last season. Valencia has a young team and expect them to get better with more experience this year.</p> <p style="text-align: left;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">[player_tooltip player_id="357653" first="Emersen" last="Beiland"]</span>- 5’4 Shooting Guard "Clayton" Class of 2024</p> <p style="text-align: left;">[player_tooltip player_id="357653" first="Emersen" last="Beiland"] as a freshman last year played a big role and that role will only increase this year. She was the teams second leading scorer last season at 9,3 points per game. She is a consistent shooter and can score from various levels on the floor such as driving and her mid range game. She was one of the biggest factors in Clayton having a solid regular season and finishing at 7-4 last spring. With several seniors from last season graduating from high school, expect [player_tooltip player_id="357653" first="Emersen" last="Beiland"] to be the potential number one scoring option this season.</p> &nbsp;
