Britney Rhodes 6’1″ Whitfield: A 2024 post player who had a very solid game against Rock Bridge in a double-overtime thriller. She scored nine points and also rebounded the ball well. She operated very well at the high post against the Bruins’ zone defense where she could pass the ball or put it on the floor on the drive. She used her body well go get good position around the basket and hold it.
Brooklyn Rhodes Brooklyn Rhodes 6'0" | PF Whitfield | 2023 State MO 6’2″ Whitfield: A 2023 forward who is strong around the basket at both ends of the floor. Her post defense was stout as she held her ground inside and was able to block and alter shots. She is also an active rebounder who can score around the post. She moves well inside and did a nice job of rolling in the pick and roll offense. She also runs the court well.
Kayla Jansen 6’2″ St. Joseph’s: It was my first time seeing this young 2024 forward and I was very impressed with her play against a talented Webster Groves team. She scored a team-high 10 points and she displayed some good fundamentals around the basket. She was mobile and she kept the ball high when she caught it inside. She also displayed her skill set as she got a rebound and dribbled coast to coast for a layup and a three-point play. Her upside is very substantial.
Leah Boland 5’9″ Whitfield: The 2024 forward was an unsung player for the Warriors on Saturday with some excellent play off the bench. She scored six big points in the second half and she kept herself in the middle of the action, whether it was a battle for rebounds or a scramble for loose balls. She cut well without the ball and finished well around the basket.
