2A basketball is highly competitive this year with several teams that are competing for a state tournament title. 2A basketball is smaller school basketball, but is actually home to some of the very best teams in the state that have or could easily beat some top 4A and 3A teams.
Tumwater High School (11-1) has come up with some huge wins this season including W’s over 4A Woodinville, 4A Camas and 1A power Lynden Christian among others. Standouts include 2022 [player_tooltip player_id="375546" first="Natalie" last="Sumrok"], 2022 [player_tooltip player_id="350469" first="Aubrey" last="Amendala"], 2023 [player_tooltip player_id="263824" first="Kylie" last="Waltermeyer"] and more. Tumwater is a favorite to win the 2A title, but there are other contenders that will look to knock them off.

Other contenders include WF West High School who boasts Pepperdine signee [player_tooltip player_id="27922" first="Drea" last="Brumfield"], West Valley High School (Spokane) who always seem to be a tough out in the state tourney.
