Some players played every minute of the game no breaks, played at their pace didn’t force the issue let’s take a look at who stood out
Lexi Howe Lexi Howe 5'9" | CG Dresden Tri Valley | 2023 State OH 5’10 PG Tri-Valley 15 PTS
Lexi is a long athletic guard who can get to the basket easily she has good control of her body when getting in the paint for her floater. She also has a nice form when shooting the deep ball and you know it’s going in when it leaves her hands. She plays tight defense she gets her hand on the ball as the pass is getting made with her wingspan, has a good IQ of the game.
Emily Kerekes Emily Kerekes 5'9" | CG Copley | 2024 OH 5’9 F Copley 12 PTS 12 REB
Emily is a stretch forward, she can put the ball down on the floor and finish at the rim, she can post up on the block and score and she can take you to the 3 point line and shoot it also. She can play the game the right way and does all the correct things. Emily has good footwork and good movement off picks as she displayed it during the game. She is a exciting player to watch she can score in bunches. Remember her name its one you will hear for a while
Kira Reynolds 6’4 F South Bend Washington 11 PTS 10 REB
Kira is one of 3 sisters on the team she is one of a kind freshman she can score around the rim good footwork in the paint she can put the ball on the floor and attacks the rim, she makes it hard to score on her length is there and she isn’t going to give up much second change scoring for the opponent, to be a freshman not scared of the contact nor getting rebounds she plays good defense to where she gets multiple blocks per game, watch out for Kira she will be a good ballplayer with years to come.
Devyne Eisenhauer 5’11 PF Margaretta 12 PTS 11 REB
Devyne is a patient player in the post she will not force a shot up she would get it back to the guard to re-position, she goes attacks the glass for multiple rebounds and putbacks, she is as skilled as they come with her team. She hustles on the defense of end to collect rebounds. She can shoot the ball mid-range soft touch she can take you to the 3 point line also. Skilled player to watch for Margaretta for the rest of the season.
Ajia Schreffler2 Ajia Schreffler2 5'10" | SF New Philadelphia | 2022 OH 5’10 PF New Philadelphia 10 PTS 13 REB
Ajia strong physical forward that knows her place on the floor, grabs multiple rebounds in traffic works hard on the defense and works hard on the offensive side to be able to position herself either to score or get her team second chance points. She runs the floor in transition, she block shots and makes it harder for the player to score just with her frame and length she is a player who will make you work in the paint.
Olivia Klanac Olivia Klanac 5'9" | SG Medina | 2025 State OH 5’9 SG Medina 12 PTS 6 REB
Olivia as a freshman can shoot lights out from the arch, not afraid to take any shot on the floor, runs the floor well in transition nice shot with quick release from the 3 point line. Makes sharp cuts to be able to get open and catch the ball in rhythm. she plays good defense, to force the offense a bad shot. She is a solid shooting guard who will make a name for herself for the rest of the season and the next 3 years.
