Midseason Stock Risers Pt. 2
2022 5-8 PG [player_tooltip player_id="305891" first="Natalie" last="Herrin"] – Pierce County
Maybe the best kept secret in Georgia, [player_tooltip player_id="305891" first="Natalie" last="Herrin"] is well on her way to capturing her third consecutive Region Player of the Year award. Herrin is pouring in 25.6 points per game en route to becoming the school’s all-time leading scorer earlier this season. She’s a physically strong guard with a high motor. She attacks non-stop on both ends of the floor. Her strength bothers opposing ball handlers when she gets up under them and on offense, she absorbs contact getting downhill and likes to pull-up off the dribble from beyond the arc. Schools of all levels have shown interest.
2022 5-10 W [player_tooltip player_id="372520" first="Ashley" last="Gray"] – Washington County
The Alabama State-signee has put it all together, averaging 20 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 3.3 steals and 1 block per game. Gray is a smart player that immediately rushes the rim whenever a shot goes up. She keeps the ball high on offensive rebounds and converts at a high clip. Gray can stretch the floor to shoot the three or take her man off the dribble. She can play 3-5 at the high school level and presents mismatches all over the floor.
2022 6-0 PF [player_tooltip player_id="372521" first="Macey" last="Ansell"] – Tattnall County
Down in Reidsville, [player_tooltip player_id="372521" first="Macey" last="Ansell"] has established herself as one of the best double-double threats in South Georgia. The hard-playing forward is posting 14.2 points and 11.5 rebounds. Ansell gets the vast majority of her points in the paint but can also hit the baseline jumper.
2024 5-6 PG [player_tooltip player_id="286905" first="Micheala" last="Bogans"] – Cross Creek
[player_tooltip player_id="286905" first="Micheala" last="Bogans"] is quickly cementing herself as a legit D-I prospect. With Jordyn Dorsey gone, Bogans has accelerated her progression and production, piling in 17.1 points, 6.6 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 3.1 steals per game. She’s a smart guard with a quick handle. Bogans has a good feel for the game and doesn’t get rattled in big spots. This season she’s shown an ability to hunt her own offense and has blossomed into the heart and soul of the Razorbacks.
2022 6-0 C [player_tooltip player_id="372522" first="Ashlynn" last="Mesidor"] – Carver-Columbus
Averaging 17 points per game and wiping the glass at an alarming rate, Mesidor has patiently waited her time to become the premier post option for Carver, who has produced a long line of size and college bigs.
2022 5-6 CG [player_tooltip player_id="302950" first="Ellie" last="Kinlaw"] – Jefferson
Brenau is getting a tough-nosed knockdown shooter that can take over a game in a blink. Kinlaw is one of the best shooters in North Georgia and can fill it up with the best of them in the entire state. She’s not one dimensional however as she has the strength to get downhill and finish in the paint. Kinlaw can be an aggressive defender as well.
