Another week of KHSAA basketball is in the books. Here’s a look at the nominees for Player of the Week. These are players who were nominated via Twitter. The poll ends at noon eastern on Friday. Nominations are listed in the order they were received. Naomi Fields, Collegiate - The 8th grader had 18 points against Brown and 15 points against St. Francis. Jakayla Thompson Jakayla Thompson 5'9" | CG DuPont Manual | 2023 State KY , Manual - The Junior had a strong showing against Central with 25 points, 9 rebounds, 8 steals and 6 assists. Zoey Webster Zoey Webster 5'1" | PG/SG Owen County | 2025 State KY , Williamstown - The freshman point guard has 10 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 5 steals against Henry County then 17 points, 2 rebounds, an assist and a steal against Lloyd Memorial. Mia Hale Mia Hale 5'9" | SF Estill County | 2022 State KY , Estill County - The Senior put up 27 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and a steal against Wolfe then 25 points, 6 rebounds, 5 steals and 2 assists against Powell County. Both games were wins for Estill. Ashlinn James Ashlinn James 5'9" | PG Assumption | 2026 State #64 Nation KY , Jeffersontown - She had 40 points, 8 rebounds 4 blocks and 6 steals against Fern Creek. Talynne Shearer Talynne Shearer 6'1" | PF Rockcastle County | 2024 State KY , Rockcastle County - The Sophomore standout had combined 54 points, 20 rebounds, 9 steals, 9 deflections, 5 assists and 2 blocks in 3 games. Sarah Weddington, Lewis County - The Junior continued her big season with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks against West Jessamine then 23 points and 9 rebounds against Greenup County. She also went over 1,000 career points. Lexi Runion, Spencer County - She had 11 points against Bullitt Central, 8 points against Collins and 28 points against Grant County as her team went 3-0 for the week.
