Talynne Shearer Talynne Shearer Talynne Shearer 6'1" | PF Rockcastle County | 2024 State KY helped lead Rockcastle County to a 21 win season and a run at a regional championship. She displayed excellent post play all-season long and tallied 14.1 points and grabbed 7.4 rebounds a game for the Lady Rockets. Shearer reached 1500 career points and 800 career and made 1st team all-region in a 12th region that is full of talented players. She will continue her athletic career at Campbellsville University next season.

Staying in the 12th region, Talynne is coming off a Junior year where she led the Lady Rockets in scoring (16 PPG) and rebounding (7 RPG). Her Senior year, Shearer should be in the mix for 12th region player of the year. With great positional size and a good motor, Talynne should be a difference maker for Rockcastle and perhaps the most valuable player in the region to her team.

Like Martin, I haven’t gotten to watch Shearer play in person this year, so I don’t want to comment much on her game, but I have consistently heard that she can score inside or out and is a very efficient player.

2022-23 Season Stats: 15.3 PPG, 7 RPG, 57.6% FG (overall), 36.4% 3pt FG, 62.2% FT
