Allie Robertson (Fatima): The 6’0″ wing player is one of the most difficult matchups in the tournament with her combination of height, skill level and physical strength. She is capable of playing bully-ball and getting downhill off the dribble for buckets and And 1s. She is also the team’s primary ball handler and playmaker and she can also post up smaller defenders in the lane. She earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team after leading the Comets to a berth in the championship game.
Willow Gideon Willow Gideon 5'10" | SG Rolla | 2024 State MO (Rolla): The 5’10 guard was impressive in helping lead the Bulldogs to the tournament championship. She scored 17 points in the semifinals and 11 points in the championship game. She displayed a nice shooting stroke from 3-point range. She makes good use of ball fakes to set up her dribble-drive moves to the basket. She can see over the defense well to pass the ball with her height.
Layla Scott Layla Scott 5'4" | CG Truman | 2024 State MO (Truman): A 5’4″ point guard who really impressed me with her court vision and ability to deliver excellent passes from different spots on the court. She did an excellent job of playing with tempo in the open court. She was also able to create her own shot off the dribble, including from 3-point range.
Hannah Medlock (Licking): The young point guard provided one of the biggest highlights of the tournament when she scored on a transition layup at the buzzer to give Licking a 56-54 victory over North County in the third-place game. She has good speed and quickness and she could also knock down the open 3-pointer.
