I started off Friday covering the NCHBC Divisional Tournament in Houston, dropping that on Tuesday and special S/O to Salt and Light head coach Amy Curtis for providing me rosters because without rosters, what can I do, certainly not go ask who this or that is and since LIVESTREAM has become important, having a non-erroneous roster should be a breeze, yet it isn’t and it has always baffled me, so has penalizing kids when they transfer and on SENIOR night at Lutheran North, as I closed my night, Lauren Vela-6’0 PF and Audrey Stanberry-6’0 C were ruled ineligible yet not with me as I’m giving both a special S/O, Vela can score around the basket as well as rebound on both ends while Stanberry fills in many blanks including rebounding and defending yet here are the TOP PERFORMERS

AALIYAH MACIAS & LACIE WILLIAMS battling for the loose ball

2022
[player_tooltip player_id="158679" first="Jade" last="Miller"]-5’6 CG (Lutheran North)
Miller went off in a huge way not only by scoring 23 points in helping her team pull off the win but she also eclipsed the 1000 point plateau. She’ll be heading to Dillard to continue her basketball journey and those long balls from NBA range she was dropping before middle school will be forever embedded in my memory
Aaliyah Macias-5’4 CG (Lutheran North)
Macias was, well everywhere yet that’s no surprise since I’ve watched her since Shooting Starz days when she was in elementary yet my dear Watson, her progression over the years has been a joy because she can score off the dribble, from mid to long-range, handle the ball under pressure and see the floor, she did all of that yet the above picture you also see that she battles for the loose balls
2023
[player_tooltip player_id="65932" first="Dalanna" last="Carter"]-5’6 CG (Lutheran North)
Carter was her usual "nightmare to defend" self as she showed how deceptive and explosive her first step is. I don’t know how many points she scored yet her body control and ability to defy gravity was in full effect, so was her deep threes from another zip code yet she also zipped the ball past defenders for assists
Madison Penn-5’6 G (Lutheran North)
Penn hit some clutch shots to change the momentum as well as stop a big run late from Rosehill Christian. She plays within herself and understands how to get hers in the flow yet her rebounding and defense was huge also
Lacie Williams-6’1 C (Rosehill Christian)
Willaims was listed as another player, glad I asked her dad did I spell her name correctly yet here’s what’s important is I got her game correct and she showed nice hands and footwork around the basket, she finished after contact and she ran the floor, on both ends but she also rebounded on both ends
NOTABLE
[player_tooltip player_id="204180" first="Tobi" last="Ademuwagun"]-6’0 PF (The Village School)
Ademuwagum had yet another double-double 22/13, in their victory against St Pius. Arguably one of the top 2023 prospects in the state because of her size, strength which equates to a "college-ready body" as well as her versatility, yeah she’s dropping the long ball, this club season will be huge for her
