Let’s take an in-depth look at some of the top guards North Dakota has to offer. Some already committed to play ball at the next level and some still trying to find a home.
[player_tooltip player_id="14168" first="Abby" last="Duchscherer"] – Kindred - (6’1/CG/2022) – Number 1 player in the state of North Dakota [player_tooltip player_id="14168" first="Abby" last="Duchscherer"] is long, quick, athletic, and a walking bucket waiting to go in. There’s a reason why Kindred is in the state championship talk every year and she’s a big reason for it. Standing at 6’1 Abby is a true 3 level scorer that can take her man off the dribble, in the post, or spray a 3 from beyond the arc. She’s a future Crimson Tide player for Softball, but before she departs for Bama you know she has 2 state titles on her mind in Basketball and Softball.
[player_tooltip player_id="99802" first="Adie" last="Wagner"]ADIEWAGNER5’7" | CGFargo South | 2022#5STATEND – Fargo South – (5’7/PG/2022) – Reigning scoring champion and assist champion for the EDC Wagner is the complete package. Another true 3 level scorer that has one of the purest jump shots you’ll see. Just recently Adie scored her 2,000 career point. The list of athletes on that honor wall are relatively short. Wagner can hurt teams in a variety of ways from scoring to dishing and surprisingly a rebounding monster standing at only 5’7. She’s currently signed at D2 power Minnesota State Moorhead.
[player_tooltip player_id="200284" first="Megan" last="Roob"] – Richland – (5’9/CG/2022) – [player_tooltip player_id="200284" first="Megan" last="Roob"] is an athlete that’s rarely talked about. Roob as a sophomore surpassed the 1,000 point threshold and continues to score the ball with ease. She’s long, athletic and has a crazy fast first step. Roob gets the job done at both ends of the court in creating havoc on the defensive side. She fits so perfectly within Richmond’s high intense diamond full court press and plays aggressive man to man defense giving the offense no room to breath. Roob is currently signed with D2 power Minnesota State Moorhead teaming with [player_tooltip player_id="99802" first="Adie" last="Wagner"] next year.
[player_tooltip player_id="198288" first="Myona" last="Dauphiniais"] - Four Winds-Minnewankan - (5’8/CG/2022) - Myona has four winds fan talking about a state championship. She’s a scoring threat from all over the court, but more precisely from beyond the arc. I can truthfully say I’ve yet to see a player from North Dakota shoot the ball from deep the way Myona does. She’s not only a shooter, but has an explosive first step and see’s the court extremely well. She has a big IQ for seeing the court and consistently makes the right passes at the right time to set her teammates up perfectly. Currently unsigned Dauphiniais is a steal for the right program at the next level.
[player_tooltip player_id="199970" first="Quinn" last="Neppl"] – Benson County - (5’8 CG 2022) - A true combo guard that can mix it up from hitting perimeter shots to driving against the long trees in the post. Neppl is an above-average ball handler that has solid court vision and loves to push the pace in the open court. Last year she surpassed 1,000 career points and continues to impress this year. An unsigned guard so far that would be a great addition to an up tempo paced collegiate team that’s still looking for a 1 or 2 guard.
