Over the past several weeks, I’ve seen some great seniors who remain unsigned. These athletes have been showing they can play at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id="363019" first="Maleigha" last="Jackson"] | Phillip O. Berry

Jackson sees the floor well on defense knowing how to anticipate moves by her opponents to stop their offense from being effective. She doesn’t shy away from hustling to loose balls or even picking the pocket of her opponents. She’s a threat all over the court no matter where she is on offense. She can post up underneath or step outside for a shot. She does well sealing off her opponents to get the entry pass, or she can drive it all the way to the basket on her own.

[player_tooltip player_id="219884" first="IoAnna" last="Giannopoulou"] | Myers Park

Her length is a problem on defense knocking the ball away from her opponents. She hustles back on defense to make sure her opponents don’t have fast break opportunities. She is a tall presence clogging the paint forcing her opponents to try to shoot over her. On offense, she is versatile flashing in the paint for some points or pulling up for jumpers. She can handle the ball efficiently moving it around the court to make the best play for her teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id="260511" first="Reece" last="Johnston"] | South Meck

Johnston has great length that she uses to fly all over the court making contributions. She finds ways to get to the basket flashing inside, and she can certainly step outside for a three pointer. She is a leader on the court making sure she finds her open teammates for some nice passes, and she crashes the boards to grab rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id="116898" first="Senali" last="Moss"] | South Meck

Moss continues to show her high scoring ability averaging over 20 points a game this season. She can score from anywhere on the court putting up shots behind the arc, taking it all the way to the hoop, or pulling up for midrange jumpers. She is a tough defender knocking the ball away from her opponents and pushing it up the court. She runs the floor well even without the ball making a catch and scoring on a fast break as she flies up the court.

Jamiya Ratliff | Richmond

Ratliff has great size and athleticism that she uses to dominate all over the court. She does well seeing the floor knowing the best way for her to get some points whether she is showing off a shot from behind the arc, or she is driving to a pull up jumper for two. She does well getting inside for rebounds, and she flashes up the court filling lanes on fast break possessions making herself available for the pass.

Kylie Lewis | Cox Mill

Lewis (pictured above) has definitely been flying under the radar even though she’s one of the leaders for her Chargers team. She seems to be involved in most offensive plays whether she is putting up her own shot from all over the court or finding open teammates underneath the basket for their own points. She’s a strong rebounder, too, making sure she gets inside to grab the board on both ends of the court.

[player_tooltip player_id="260167" first="Eva" last="Butler"] | Providence

Butler continues to expand her game whether she is shooting from beyond the arc or flashing in the paint to grab a rebound for her team. She does well driving the ball, and she can certainly do this on many occasions coming off of her own steal that she takes coast to coast. In her senior season, she has taken over as one of the main ball handlers for her team showing how to facilitate and lead her team in offensive possessions.
