2022
Jennah Savage Jennah Savage 5'7" | SG St. Thomas Episcopal | 2022 State TX -5’7 SG (St Thomas Episcopal)
Savage is one of those players that just kept adding to her game and after watching her multiple seasons in club basketball, I was overly impressed at the PGH Texas 250 Expo a few months ago, read more. This is one of the reasons it’s important to place yourself in front of someone that actually KNOWS what they’re talking about, Savage is averaging 25 ppg for a team that won a handful of games last season, well not even a handful yet she dropped 28 in her first district game
2023
Hailey Mason (Denton Guyer)
Mason does something I love seeing players do and that’s “play the passing lane” which is a lost art yet she painted another picture by showing me she could do two things quite well, take the defender off the dribble as well as drop the pull-up jumper, that, as well as her “on the ball defense” definitely was solid
Raina Akbar-5’7 CG (Denton Guyer)
Akbar mixed it up offensively nicely and let me start with her handling the ball under pressure and seeing the floor while making nice passes to her teammates yet those crisp passes also came as she attacked the basket, yeah her off the dribble stuff was nice, so was her body control and finishes but she also showed she could drop the long ball not to leave out she also played the passing lane
2024
Sam Tillson-6’3 PF (McKinney)
Tillson is listed at 6’3, I know she has a nice frame and also nice hands and footwork so if the size is correct, she has some very good potential, well even if it isn’t she showed me quite a bit on both ends. Yeah, she finishes after contact, with either hand but she also showed me the midrange as well as her rebounding on both ends and running the floor, on both ends so add some defense on the interior and voila
Dasheon Wilson-5’8 G (McKinney)
Wilson is athletic, probably long and if so, that’s the base but even if she isn’t long, she goes after everything off the rim. yeah, she scored on putbacks but she also did a good job of starting the break with the outlet not to leave out she played some very good “on the ball defense”
2025
Addisyn Jones (McKinney)
Jones is only a freshman, not sure where I’ve seen her but I’m almost certain that I have in the past let me say this, I look at certain things younger players do that are going against older ones and that’s how they react in certain situations and what they do instinctively, that’s the formula yet everyone isn’t a chemist but factor in her explosive first step, that also helps when she plays the passing lane and her pull-up jumper is already showing signs
