2022
Alisa Willams-6’2 PF (Braswell)
Williams will do well at LSU because of her versatility right now and watching her understand how to control a game at either end has been a huge thrill for me the past couple of seasons yet her outside shooting as well as her attacking the rim is very nice, watching her operate in the paint and score not only with either hand but after contact with either hand is just next level ready. She’ll be an even better college player because of what she’s doing right now, rebounding on both ends is one thing yet her desire to go after the ball is what helps separate her game, that and that same desire on defense
Aniya Cramer (Little Elm)
Cramer uses her body well on the inside, she did a good job rebounding after boxing out, she understands how to set picks and roll and she showed nice hands and footwork but she also showed she could score around the basket as well as drop the midrange
2023
Kelly Mora-6’1 C (Monterey)
Mora was called a #D1Lock by me before high school yet she isn’t listed in the Top 100, well I haven’t seen her since before high school and sometimes players move so one more time, if I don’t see it, I can’t write it yet whatever I said about her was true and it still is. She’s mobile around the rim and understands how to score multiple ways in the paint yet her igniting the break with the outlet after the rebound and running the floor to finish on the other end had me smiling. She’s also facing the basket and scoring from midrange, her inside presence on defense creates problems yet she also stepped out of the paint to apply pressure. She will make her debut on Top 100 next month
Torie Sevier-6’4 C (Braswell)
Sevier will also make her Top 100 debut next month, I saw enough of her at the Spring Creek BBQ Mansfield Invitational, and just seeing her score and play the passing lane was enough with her size but as nice as she was around the basket, she actually can step out and drop it consistently. I think her upside is intriguing and this will be a huge summer for her
Aubrey Metzger (Little Elm)
Metzger just gets the job done, I mean, after all, her grandfather was a golden Glove shortstop that got it done so it’s in the JEANS, Levi’s and I know it’s spelled genes, nevertheless, I know I love watching players play within themselves and not force things yet find ways to contribute, many times those things don’t pop up on score or stat sheet but she actually can score in the flow
