I’m just rethinking the Desoto at Duncanville game as two of the state’s top 6A teams are in the same region yet what makes that even more intriguing is that they’re in the same district and will probably wind up playing 3 times to see who actually represents the region yet before I count my eggs before they hatch, Cedar Hil is actually in 2nd place in the district, they lost to Desoto the first go-round and beat Duncanville so their hat must be thrown into the ring as another team, from the same region, as well as district, could conceivably head to state in 6A (UIL)

[player_tooltip player_id="65914" first="Sa’Myah" last="Smith"] (Desoto)
Smith was just shy of a double-double however the LSU signee was instrumental in so many ways, mainly her "presence on the court" as she came up with big baskets to help start the run as well as numerous blocks that proved to shift the momentum. Her interior defense was also solid
[player_tooltip player_id="135360" first="Tionna" last="Herron"] (Desoto)
Herron always gives the offensive player something to think about and this game was no different for the Kentucky signee. Her wingspan alone has always created issues yet her timing to block, alter, and (or) deflect shots was crucial and definitely helped play a part in one of the best games I’ve seen all season
[player_tooltip player_id="65910" first="Amina" last="Muhammad"] (Desoto)
Muhammad was a defensive stopper, well that’s been repeated numerous times by your truly yet I’m not just talking about interior defense because the Texas signee played the passing lane very well and handled the ball afterward to either score or help set teammates up for baskets. She also faced the basket for buckets
[player_tooltip player_id="96932" first="Maya" last="Linton"] (Duncanville)
Linton hit some big shots in the second half, I didn’t catch the first but the UTSA signee also made some big plays, especially on the defensive end yet that’s something I’ve grown accustomed to seeing her do, make big plays, especially in big games and her pressure on the defensive end was solid
[player_tooltip player_id="135381" first="Kiersten" last="Johnson"] (Duncanville)
Johnson always makes her presence felt in some way and her stellar defense, as well as her rebounding, was huge but the Oklahoma signee showed that she didn’t have to score a lot of points to help control a game and her defense, both in and outside the paint played a big part in their big game

[player_tooltip player_id="307751" first="Kenidi" last="Glover"] (Duncanville)
Glover loves this atmosphere in fact, she lives for it and as one of the top freshmen in Texas, you would never know that she’s not an upperclassman because she simply gets after it, she doesn’t back down, and like BONECRUSHER and ME, she’s "Never Scared" so watching her battle against BCS bigs should tell you a lot yet trust me, her upside is scary
