OLIVIA BROOKS
2022
Jenesis Nichols-PF (Robinson)
Nichols does something I love to see and that is she “plays the passing lane” and although I have no idea how tall she is, I know she was active and attentive to what was going on, she did a good job getting positioning for rebounds, on both ends and she also did a good job scoring on putbacks yet understanding how to create her shot and set the defender up to attack the rim was nice as well
2023
Lexi Schwartz-SF (Robinson)
Schwartz actually has guard skills as well, she sees the floor and hit her teammates on the money with nice passes plus she can shoot the 3 but she also did a good job battling for rebounds as well as playing interior defense but her defense outside the paint, on the ball, was also nice
Hannah Dudley-5’10 PF/C (Robinson)
Dudley showed me she could use her body early in the game, nice hands, and footwork, good spin move and she understands how top seal the defender, okay let me drop #THROWBACK yet she threw me back when she stepped out and dropped the 3 ball and I was thinking “oh my” yet she finished strong after contact and did a good job crashing the boards, on both ends
Kalika Gross-6’1 PF/C (Robinson)
Gross is long, mobile and showed she was athletic by first creating her shot and showing the pull-up jumper them attacking while being tightly defended from the wing. Her size and wingspan also creates problems for defenders trying to guard her yet I’m thinking about her upside as she has definitely is on the verge of something
Briana Johnson-PF (Madisonville)
Johnson just went after everything early, never had seen her but she left a lasting impression with her physical play, giving as well as taking yet let me not take her midrange for granted, she dropped a couple and her form is nice, so was her release but using her body to score in the paint definitely made me smile, soft touch in front of the rim and scoring after the lick on putbacks is always nice
2024
Kemyreul Wheaton Kemyreul Wheaton 5'9" | SF Madisonville | 2024 State TX -SF (Madisonville)
Wheaton is one of the most unselfish players in the Top 100 at her position. She has the ability to simply dominate games, it’s hard to hold her when you’re guarding her and you’re staring at the b bottom of her sneakers and I might be embellishing her UPS somewhat yet I’m only painting a picture. She would rather assist and make those around her better and choose when she wants to take control but she definitely understands how to make things happen from the defensive end, rebounding and igniting the break, blocking shots and igniting the break, or just applying heat to create turnovers, did I mention she plays the passing lane
Olivia Brooks-5’11 PF (Madisonville) OUT
Brooks deserves a S/O because of her relentlessness going after the ball, I don’t use that word often because I don’t see players doing it like they used to, #THROWBAC K yet those dreaded 3 letters, ACL, have her out yet it ain’t the end of the world, with her mindset, she’ll come back stronger, how do I know, well check the link below
