As much as I hate watching games via LIVESTREAM, I loved it last night for a number of reasons and in this article, it was because I caught even more new faces I hadn’t seen or seen enough of so Boswell stayed undefeated in district with their victory over Euless Trinty who is hanging on to the 4th and last playoff spot so here ya go
2022
Jayla Stewart-PG (Trinity)
Stewart attacks the basket from multiple angles, nice first step allows her to get by defenders, especially in the open court yet she also sees the floor going full speed and makes solid passes under control. She also showed good body control on her finishes, this includes after contact
Bre’awn Gates-5’10 C
Gates uses her strength to her advantage and did a good job of getting positioning for rebounds. She also went after loose balls, not only off the rim but during plays plus she showed some nice moves around the basket to get her shot off. She moves well on defense and she runs the floor
Alena Deleon-5’10 C (Boswell)
Deleon was virtually unstoppable in the paint during the first half, my wraparound coverage teleported me elsewhere for the second half but she finishes strongly after contact and stayed with the ball off the rim multiple times for offensive rebounds and putbacks. She also showed nice "hands and footwork" to get her shot off and yes, she rebounded on the defensive end also
[player_tooltip player_id="135404" first="Nyanna" last="Robertson"]-5’7 CG (Boswell)
Robertson is heading to George Washington after she finishes high school and she's taking her explosiveness with her and by that, watching her blow by defenders effortlessly last night, with the ball, brought me back to when I first caught her yet that pull-up jumper is explosive as well, mid to long-range. Solid defender, on the ball, baseline to baseline "on the ball)
2023
Alisha Nunley-5’5 SG (Trinity)
Nunley is closing in on the 1000 point mark, she understands how to score multiple ways, this starts by knowing how to create her shot for either the jumper or the attack and one play early, an "and one" while defying gravity as she sliced to the basket, showed her good her body control was. She also made some good decision, court vision is nice
[player_tooltip player_id="204173" first="Miraya" last="Perkins"]-5’10 SG/SF (Boswell)
Perkins was like the PERKulator to open the game up and her multiple three pointers set the tone on how this was going to go. She can get her shot off whenever she wants, she elevates over defenders, her length has a lot to do with that as well yet she applies pressure on the defensive end, rebounds, and plays the passing lane
2024
[player_tooltip player_id="206964" first="Chloe" last="Mann"]-5’10 SG (Boswell)
Mann oh Mann was the first thing I ever wrote about her as I saw what was coming yet if you blink now, you'll miss that first step but peep this, she also has added the "turbo" and that extra boost simply had me glued to the stream. Yeah, she has NBA range from BTA yet her craftiness almost needs the NSA to locate her. She played the passing lane, made defenders alter their shots, and get ready for her to elevate up the charts
2025
Tori Nichols-6’0 PF (Boswell)
Nichols is getting a special S/O because of her being a freshman and giving solid minutes yet doing some pluses along the way. Her size, her body, and her upside will be watched closely
