Week 9’s Top Performers!

<p style="text-align: center;">The top performers from around New Mexico in week nine of the 2021-2022 season.</p> <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">[player_tooltip player_id="353683" first="Juliana" last="Aragon"]-</span> 5’5 Point Guard "Bernalillo" Class of 2022</p> <p style="text-align: center;">[player_tooltip player_id="353683" first="Juliana" last="Aragon"] had a solid pair of games this week vs Del Norte and Cibola. This past Tuesday January 18th vs Del Norte, she scored 30 points on 11/16 shooting from the field, 4/5 from three point range and dished 7 assists. They defeated Del Norte 73-25. Than this past Saturday January 22nd vs Cibola, she scored 34 points on 11/17 shooting from the field and had 6 assists. They defeated Cibola 73-49. Bernalillo is now 17-0 this season.</p> <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">[player_tooltip player_id="370329" first="Bella" last="Hines"]-</span> 5’9 Point Guard "Eldorado" Class of 2025</p> <p style="text-align: center;">Eldorado’s freshman star [player_tooltip player_id="370329" first="Bella" last="Hines"] had a great performance this past Tuesday January 18th vs Piedra Vista. She scored a new season high of 38 points on 15/25 shooting from the field helping Eldorado win 56-35. She also shot 7/12 from three point range and is averaging 26.1 points per game this season which makes her the second leading scorer in New Mexico.</p> <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Leilani Love-</span> 6’1 Forward "Albuquerque" Class of 2023</p> <p style="text-align: center;">Albuquerque star Leilani Love had a solid performance this past Tuesday January 18th. She recorded a double-double of 28 points and 15 rebounds to lead Albuquerque past Santa Fe 63-38. She shot 12/17 from he field and has helped Albuquerque win 6 of their 7 games.</p> <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">[player_tooltip player_id="353927" first="Emma" last="Christiano"]-</span> 5’5 Point Guard "Las Cruces" Class of 2023</p> <p style="text-align: center;">Las Cruces Point Guard [player_tooltip player_id="353927" first="Emma" last="Christiano"] helped lead her school past Alamogordo 59-29 this past Tuesday January 18th. She scored 18 points on 9/13 shooting from the field, grabbed 8 rebounds, dished 5 assists and had 6 steals in the game.</p> <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">[player_tooltip player_id="353923" first="Ema" last="Rose"]-</span> Guard "Gadsden" Class of 2023</p> <p style="text-align: center;">[player_tooltip player_id="353923" first="Ema" last="Rose"] led Gadsden to a victory over Loretto 53-31 this past Tuesday January 18th. She scored 17 points on 7/11 shooting from the field and had 4 rebounds in the game. [player_tooltip player_id="353923" first="Ema" last="Rose"] is averaging 15.1 points per game this season which ranks 15th in New Mexico this season.</p> <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">[player_tooltip player_id="353689" first="Mattie" last="Cooksey"]-</span> 5’9 Center "Loving" Class of 2022</p> <p style="text-align: center;">[player_tooltip player_id="353689" first="Mattie" last="Cooksey"] had a solid performance this past Friday January 21st vs Tatum. Despite the loss, Mattie recorded a double-double with 20 points and 15 rebounds in the game. She shot 8/15 from the field and is averaging a double-double this year of 14.2 points per game and 12.4 rebounds per game.</p> <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Leah Valdez-</span> Guard "Bernalillo" Class of 2024</p> <p style="text-align: center;">Bernalillo’s sophomore Leah Valdez was one of the top performers this week with her play this past Tuesday January 18th. She scored 18 points on 7/10 shooting from the field and 4/6 from three point range.  Her play helped Bernalillo defeat Del Norte 73-25 and improve to 17-0 this season.</p> <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">[player_tooltip player_id="357650" first="Caitlin" last="Turnbow"]-</span> 5’10 Center "Organ Mountain" Class of 2024</p> <p style="text-align: center;">[player_tooltip player_id="357650" first="Caitlin" last="Turnbow"] had a solid performance this past Tuesday January 18th vs Centennial. She recorded a double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds on 7/10 shooting from the field. Organ Mountain defeated Centennial 62-53.</p> <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">[player_tooltip player_id="357657" first="Taejhuan" last="Hill"]-</span> 5’11 Center "Volcano Vista" Class of 2024</p> <p style="text-align: center;">Volcano Vista Center [player_tooltip player_id="357657" first="Taejhuan" last="Hill"] had a solid performance this past Friday January 21st vs Cibola. She recorded a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds on 7/10 shooting from the field. Her play helped Volcano Vista defeat Cibola 71-17 to improve to 16-0 this season.</p> &nbsp;
