West Plains standout Ashton Judd Ashton Judd 5'11" | SF West Plains | 2022 State MO has given a commitment to the University of Missouri. She made her announcement on her social media account on Wednesday.
The 6’0″ Judd is a talented all-around performer who can excel at any position on the floor. She’s a tremendous scorer and rebounder who is an excellent ball handler and playmaker. She received a multitude of Division I offers throughout the summer, but she chose to attend Mizzou, where she will join Columbia Rock Bridge standout Averi Kroenke Averi Kroenke 5'11" | CG Rock Bridge | 2022 State MO in the Tigers’ Class of 2022 recruiting class.
“For one, I wanted a good relationship with the coaching staff over everything else,” Judd said. “A good relationship with the players and wanted that family feel wherever I went. I felt like they checked all those boxes for me. Secondly, I’ve always wanted to be whatever my coaches have needed me to be. Whether that’s a point guard, a post or a power forward. With that, I’ve become very versatile and that’s how they play.”
Judd is having a tremendous senior season in leading the Lady Zizzers to a 17-3 record and the No. 1 ranking in the current Missouri Basketball Coaches Association Class 5 polls. She is averaging 27.6 points, 11.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 2.1 steals and one block per game while shooting 55 percent from the field and 44 percent from 3-point range.
As a junior, she averaged 18 points, 11 rebounds and five assists a game in leading West Plains to a berth in the Class 5 state championship game.
