Everyone knows who the elite players are, but these are some of the rising sleepers in the sectional tournament in Dayton.
Dayton Division 3 Sectional Sleepers
Emme Greely, 5-10 2024, Waynesville- Rising sophomore on a team led by a D1 senior guard, but Emme is developing into quite a solid complimentary player with a great future. She has good fundamental skills and a good knowledge of the game. Solid handles and good footwork in the paint. Good basketball IQ. Averages 8.4 points and 5.7 rebounds per game.
Maddie Montgomery Maddie Montgomery 5'10" | SF Tipp City Bethel | 2025 OH , 5-10 2025, Bethel- As the season has progressed, Maddie’s game has also improved. Very impressive with her skillset, she has good floor sense for a freshman. Athletic and quick, Maddie can push tempo, score at the rim and does a very good job on the boards. She is scoring at a pace of 5 per game with nearly 6 rebounds. With Bethel returning nearly everyone next season, her production should definitely increase.
Kahlen Kulms Kahlen Kulms 6'0" | C Preble Shawnee | 2024 OH , 6-1 2024, Preble Shawnee- Everyone knows about the dynamic duo of Jewell and Thompson. But Kahlen is a solid post player who has shown improvement since her freshman year. Can produce around the rim with her length and can move well around the rim. Comes off the bench and scores 8 points and 7 rebounds per game. Just needs to continue to work on her development.
Kearsyn Robison, 5-5 2023, Milton Union- The first thing you notice when you watch her play is the defense better know where she is at all times on the court. Her biggest strength is her ability to damage a zone with her perimeter game. Excellent range and a spot up shooter. She needs to continue to work on the other aspects of her game heading into her senior season. She is averaging 9 points per game.
Chaley Wade, 5-0 2024, West Liberty Salem- A program who always seems to have that player who steps up and takes the leadership role, Chaley is that player for the Tigers. Averaging 10.6 points and 8.5 rebounds per game, she is a solid post player who is getting better daily. Very hard worker and is very good at getting position and finishes well at the rim. Does have range out to 15-feet.
Sarah Riley, 5-6 2025, Greenon- She has shown a lot of improvement this season as the year has progressed. Dropped 26 in a recent win over Cedarville, Sarah is scoring 8.9 points with 3.8 steals per game from the guard spot. Does have range, just needs to develop more consistency from that range. She is not afraid to let it fly and will be a big factor as her career progresses.
