Danville, Tri Village and Cincinnati Country Day are all looking to dethrone the champs, and all three have players who can make a difference in how this regional will shake out.

Tri Village vs Danville, Thursday 6:00
1K power- Tri Village is one of the rare teams in Ohio to have 3 1,000-point career scorers as 6-3 2022 Meghan Downing Meghan Downing 6'2" | C Tri Village | 2022 State OH along with a pair of 2023s, 5-8 Rylee Sagester Rylee Sagester 5'6" | CG Tri Village | 2023 State OH (feature photo above) and 5-10 Morgan Hunt Morgan Hunt 5'10" | PF Tri Village | 2023 State OH make this team one of the favorites to make a run for Dayton. Downing is still uncommitted but has had a strong career and a very solid senior season. Sagester is among the best three-point shooters in Ohio history and Hunt has one of the most complete games in the Buckeye state.
A look at Danville- After getting through the district where get defeated Fisher Catholic to advance to regionals, they have a huge task in front of them. This group looks to slow down the high powered Patriots, and will rely a lot on 5-10 2022 Brooklyn Hess to produce, as she averages 12.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists and just over three blocks per game. She is joined by PGH 2024 Watch List player Ella Proper Ella Proper 5'7" | CG Danville | 2024 OH , who comes in averaging 11.4 points per game. Alenah Boeschart is a 5-6 2022 who also looks to contribute.
Cincinnati Country Day vs Fort Loramie, Thursday 8:00
Several weapons to choose from- CCD has several weapons who they look to call on to get the job done in the regionals, as three players are in double figures and the fourth Is knocking on the door. Gracie Barns is their statistical leader as the 5-8 2022 is averaging 14.8 points per game Note in their season opening win against Tri Village, she scored 26. Sarah Zimmerman is a 6-foot 2022 and sits at 13.6 points and 8 rebounds per game. Megan Zimmerman is a 5-9 2024 and she is right at 10 her game. Elizabeth Zimmerman is a 5-8 2024 and she is right at 8 per game. They are going to have to get all of them contributing to compete with the defending state champs.
The beat rolls on- Fort Loramie is a team who won the D4 state title last year and lost a lot to graduation. So what do they do? A new cast of characters step up and lead. Ava Sholtis Ava Sholtis 5'8" | CG Fort Loramie | 2022 State OH is a 5-10 2022 who is the best player in her conference, is a long and athletic player who can score from midrange and contributes on the defensive end. Colleen Brandewie is a 5-7 2022 who also was steady this year averaging 11 points per game, She is also a major threat from behind the arc.
