Evan is a shooter, who can hit anywhere behind the arc, creates strong moves on the baseline, and dribble penetrates in the paint. She doesn’t get rattled, plays with composure, and has reliable handles. Platfoot plays unselfish basketball, and creates nice looks for her teammates. (Featured Photo, with ball)
Avery Murdock- G, 2024, Jonathan Alder H.S.: (Below, #12) Very impressed with Avery’s game, and how she contributes with her physicality in rebounding, yet shows a soft touch in the paint and outside shooting. Murdock is coachable, and is a blue collar player who finds any way to help the team. She sees the floor well, makes the right decisions on transition, and plays under control.
Mary Ferrito Mary Ferrito 5'10" | CG Jonathan Alder | 2022 State OH – G, 2022, Jonathan Alder H.S.: (Below with ball) Without question, Mary Ferrito Mary Ferrito 5'10" | CG Jonathan Alder | 2022 State OH ’s basketball IQ, athleticism and drive makes her one of the top guards in the state. She pays attention to detail on both ends of the court, knows how to use screens well and create open looks for herself and teammates. Defensively she is relentless- love her lock down defense. Beautiful shooting mechanics, can shoot the rock from anywhere. She’s a leader.
Emily Bratton Emily Bratton 5'7" | SG Bloom Carroll | 2024 State OH – G, 2024, Bloom Carroll H.S.: Emily is the type of player that wears out 3-4 basketballs a year, and that’s just from working on her ball handling! Her tight cross overs, behind the back, hesitation moves to the bucket are outstanding! She slashes through multiple defenders, gets to the rim, and finds ways to the free throw line. Bratton has one of the quickest releases- smooth, automatic, and she produces points all game. Never ending battery, and fierce competitor.
Reese Pittman- G, 2022, Bloom Carroll H.S.: Reese is a key part to the Bulldogs! I love her defense, how she uses her quickness and active hands to make opponents earn looks at the basket, and her willingness to take charges. That is senior leadership! Pretty outside shot, confident, can score from downtown, and makes shots with contact. Overall, Pittman handles the ball well, and involves all her teammates.
