Holy Innocents’ MLK Classic Top Performers

Taking a look at some of the top players that stood out at the MLK Classic. Here is who stood out: <span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="195885" first="Caelan" last="Ellis"] (Point Guard) McEachern- Shooter! Caelan doesn’t miss open shots. Plays bigger than she is. Quick, fast, and can score from all three levels. High energy player and can defend well. Holds teammates accountable and is a leader on the court. </span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="253968" first="Chazadi" last="Wright"] (Point Guard) Wesleyan- Chat was one of the best scorers that I saw during the showcase. Exciting do it all point guard. She can score from all three levels. A little undersized but she still plays a lot bigger than she is. High IQ and motor. Chat knows where teammates are supposed to be and holds them all accountable. Great defender on and off of the ball.</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="370055" first="Ciara" last="Alexander"] (Forward) Holy Innocents’- Ciara is one of the strongest and toughest players that I saw at this showcase. A rim protector who blocks shots and excellent rebounder that boxes out and never gives up on a rebound. She can run the floor well and she has a soft touch around the rim. </span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="285197" first="Hailee" last="Swain"] (Point Guard) Holy Innocents’- Quick, fast and hard but under control. Hailee can score from all three levels and creates open looks for her teammates. Knocks down open shots and plays with lots of poise.</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="205022" first="Jada" last="Bates"] (Guard) McEachern- Jada is long and athletic. She can play every position. Jada  has a high IQ which helps her to create open looks for her teammates. She is an elite defender and rebounder. Gets to her spots well and can attack the rim with ease. </span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">Jaila Salley-Barnett (Combo Guard) Athens Academy- Elite game manager who never takes any plays off. Jaila is a good defender with a high motor. Hustles and works hard to give the extra effort to get loose balls. Quick and shifty guard who can get to the rim and finish through contact. Knocks down open shots and free throws.</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="195599" first="Naja" last="Reeves"] (Guard) Holy Innocents’- Naja was one of the best defenders I saw at this showcase. She is fast and athletic and can guard multiple positions on and off the ball. Creates lots of turnovers and has a very high motor. </span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">Natalie Martin (Forward) Luella- Natalie has great vision. High IQ can create her own shot and find open teammates. Can attack the rim and finish strong through contact. She is athletic, can defend very well and gets lots of steals.</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="152655" first="Raven" last="Thompson"] (Forward) Langston Hughes- She is a good rebounder. Raven can handle the ball well and run the offense from the forward position. She has a high basketball IQ and can control the pace of the game. Knows where her teammates are supposed to be, creates plays and gets them open looks. Soft inside touch, finishes through contact and can knock down her free throws.</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Taylor Caldwell ( Shooting Guard) Langston Hughes- High energy and motor, she works hard on both ends of the court. Gives the extra effort on loose balls and long rebounds. She is an elite defender who creates turnovers. Taylor can shoot the three ball well and can also score inside the paint.</span> &nbsp;
