Up from No. 29: Elite size on the perimeter. Decision making looked quicker at GBCA. Can shoot over contests and has functional strength downhill, able to finish through contact. Has upside as a defender and rebounder. Consistency is improving. Power 5 ceiling.

I liked what I saw out of Jada in a 50-39 win over Mt. Paran. First off, it looks like Bates has grown even more, now standing at what looks like a legit 6-foot-4. Jada used her length to get to the basket and score through contact. Her floater was difficult to guard. Once Jada saw her three-ball wasn’t falling was when she got downhill. Getting to the basket consistently was an issue last year when I watched, but on Saturday it looked as if she had made corrections to her game. She finished with 15 points, 1 rebound, 3 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. Bates’ upward trajectory is back on track. Her upside is immense.

Jada showed her all-around floor game in the first throughout the game. She grabbed a board and pushed with speed getting all the way to the foul line before dropping it off to a teammate for a wide-open midrange jumper for an assist. She has elite length, making it hard for defenders to contest her jumper which is a big part of her game. She can finish around the rim and clean up the glass when her switch is on. The 6-3 wing has the ability to contribute to virtually every statistic.
